This is the pattern (Sea Foam) to follow for the Knit A Long scarf: • KAL #2: A Great Patter... A gorgeous drop stitch pattern for knitting. Super easy to follow and really elegant.
////Recommended Materials:
-Wool Ease by Lion Brand: amzn.to/2izmHKH
-Matching needles.
//// Instructions:
Multiple of 10 plus 2
I used #8 knitting needles and #4 Worsted yarn
k=knit
k&yo( )t = knit and yarn over needle ( ) times
Repeat from * to
Cast on your stitches.
Row 1.- Knit
Row 2.- Knit
Row 3.- K1, *k&yo2t, k&yo3t, k&yo4t, k&yo3t, k&yo2t, k5 end with k1.
Row 4.- Knit the row, letting go of the wraps around the needle as you go.
Row 5.- Knit
Row 6.- Knit
Row 7.- K1, k5, k&yo2t, k&yo3t, k&yo4t, k&yo3t, k&yo2t end with k1.
Row 8.- Knit the row, letting go of the wraps (yo) around the needle as you go.
Repeat these 8 rows, for the pattern.

I’ve watched a bunch of these sea foam stitch videos and yours if by far gathered best! Others don’t knit into the stitch before wrapping and I wasn’t having any success with that! Your technique solves my problem! Thank you!

For the tutorial I used cotton yarn. I believe it's the "I love this Cotton" from Yarn Bee (Hobby Lobby)

You eliminate stitches on each side or on the neck, following the pattern. Note that you will have long stitches on the sides to deal with. I don't recommend this stitch for a sweater. If you want to make a top, make it without taking any stitches off. Only as a square. Then sew the sides and the shoulders.

Yes, don't knit the edge stitches and do the 10 stitch repeat

This was a gret tutorial. Only 1 question, First time after knitting 2 rows you went straight into the wraps. Then you unwrapped. knit 2 rows and then you knitted your edge and then 5 and started your wraps. So after you unwrap and knit your 2 rows do you go back to the first one, knit edge and then start wraps? Or do you knit 5 and then wraps.

Absolutely! Just remember that all the even number rows need to be made the opposite way. Instead of knit, you purl. Place a market to know where the row starts.
