Oh my goodness!!! I drove 40 minutes to my closest Joann because they said they had 3 of the twist lock crochet hooks you talked about a few videos back. I get there and can’t find them. Mind you, I had the 60% off coupon too. I asked a worker and she said “we don’t have that and you’re the 2nd person to come in asking”. I asked her if they had inventory in the back that’s not put up yet. She said they have so much that they can’t even walk back there. I tried to get her to bring me boxes out and I’d go through them, but she claimed they weren’t in the back either. This was on Friday 2/2 and she said it showed on her scanner that they received the needles on Monday 1/29. I will not drive back there unless I speak with someone confirming they have them in the store and I’ll be waiting for another 60% coupon. Joann needs to get her stuff together!

wow! the colours in the green 'big twist' are so lovely... but I'd have so much trouble with the splitting issue - because as a left handed crocheter, when a right hand twist is loose, it 'unwinds' itself even more as I'm twisting my hook around to loop it up *sigh* sometimes I wish there were more left hand twisted yarns easily available 😆

Love the Big Twist Party yarn they remind me of Premier Mosaic Basix but the Party has more color ways. I prefer them over self striping yarns any day. It comes in 22 colors and Basix Mosaic only has 6 colors. That's just the way JoAnn rolls....

I love the Autumn yarn, I bought a couple balls of a different colorway and I started crocheting and it split so much and I ended up taking it apart so it tangled and had to set it aside, then go back and fix the tangles. It's working better now I don't remember if I changed hooks but itis very soft and I like the colors. I'm trying not to buy yarn right now, but if I do I wouldn't be in a hurry to buy this no matter what pretty yarn they made. Thanks for the review. Have a good one.

Okay....you've convinced me to give big twist another try. I haven't cared for the regular in the past but this video has me wanting to try agian.

I've worked for Michaels. Michaels is similar to JoAnn's in that they don't have a warehouse and online orders are shipped from stores. But they don't split up orders; if a single store can't fulfill an order, they typically have to reject the ENTIRE thing, and the order gets bounced to another store. What happens if NO store can fill it (because it's like, 100 t-shirts of the same color, for example, and no store has that kind of stock)? God knows, I never found out.

I love the Sterling JoAnn, too. But last week there was a hand-made sign on the door 'closing at 5pm'. I don't think they have the staff to keep the store open. Hope they work it out.

All 3 of my “local” (all are at least 20-30 mins away) JoAnn’s stores are horrible! So I feel the pain. I hate to go to them. They actually always look like they’re closing 🙄 I need to just go online I suppose. ❤ the yarns you’ve showed.

I have wanted to buy the party yarn since last year but my local store never had it in stock unit a couple weeks ago. I bought some and will definitely go back for more lol. My local Joanns takes forever to get any new yarns that come out actually in stock before a year goes by.

Autumn evening works up really pretty but agree it’s a weird name for it. I’ve been working up a rather fancy scarf with that one. But red is my favorite color so… I’ve been super into purple as well lately and was really torn between it and the purple. And ugh on it being splitty. Yes. And watch out for pet claws and other things that can cause snags. I am so sad looking at my scarf and noticing I have so dang many of the weird kind of snags where due to it’s its splittiness it’s snagged in random threads in the stitches. Dang cat needs to stop walking on my work. Oh when you are in store please look at the Carousel. I have noticed massive dye lot issues. It does look like a good winter wear (I’ve got a whole scarf and hat thing going on lately lol) yarn but I had the hardest time where everything would have the same name and even dye lot listed and they’d look like radically different shades. I have photos that are so utterly wtf. Like they were on sale too so I wanted to get some to play with but had the hardest time finding any two matching skeins! So there are just massive issues with the coloring.

Party yarn would make something pretty for Easter !

It's not just yarn they're shipping like that. I ordered waterproof totes for my yarn and 5 totes came in three different shipments! They have to be losing money on postage! Fortunately, I am not buying yarn at this time. I am on a mission to use up at least half of my stash this year. I was off to a good start until my husband and I picked up some respiratory crud. Nothing has been done in the last 12 days. Time to start crocheting again!

I placed an order from Joann last month and except for a box that had four cakes, all the other skeins came one per bag and took the entire month and the first week of this month. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m half an hour from Hudson Ohio, when I order from JoAnn it never comes from there. They need to fix themselves.

I ordered a few things from Joann recently, they split the order up in several shipments. Still waiting on the last part of the shipment. Been about 3 weeks now. Don't know what's up with them. Usually I get everything shipped in one box and quickly. But the last 2 orders became split shipments. Go figure.😊

They have so much stock and not enough people to get it out on the shelves!!!

In all honesty JoAnn needs me to head up the shipping and receiving. I know how to overhaul this operation. They cut costs by having items shipped from stores where your items are available, this is inefficient as you already stated because they are paying out of their behinds for all the shipping 🤷🏽‍♀️ They think they are saving lease money, and insurance money, labor costs for the warehouse and gas for trucking, by getting rid of it. All they have done is lost more money than necessary and caused employees and customers more stress. Now with them closing stores and just shipping and ENTIRE STORE to another store that is too small to handle the over stock, they have just created a whole new mess. If they don’t figure it out and sacrifice some money to bring back the warehouse, they will be closing ALL stores within 5 years.

I have been ordering from Joann since June 2023. However, recently, they have been accepting my orders, and then I get an email that the order has been cancelled. So very frustrating.

I am new knitter. I am ready to make a pullover. I want to know if a pullover tee can be made of acrylic. My concern is whether the fabric will be too warm for summer. Opinions please.

I am fed up with JoAnns. I’m not sure what is going on. I order something for delivery and a couple days later they cancel the order ( out of stock). Starting to be a bad habit. How can they be out of everything. I’ve check with customer service and they say they have the items in another warehouse. I reorder and still they cancel.

Joanns is s local cmpany for me with the corporate office right down the feeway but the stores (2) are each equal distances in opposite directions. Maybe i should apply for a job since i have been in inventory control for large companies and could fix the supply side problems.do u think the war is affecting the yarn in the Mediterranean since alot of it comes from Turkey 22:34 ctions
