Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker films an intense scene for 'Joker: Folie à Deux' in Los Angeles. The Oscar-winning actor was spotted running down the street with several patrol cars chasing him with another actor dressed in the full Joker costume. The DC film is dubbed to be a musical and the sequel to the widely popular 2019 Joker movie.

Either it’s an admirer who wants to be just like the joker, or it’s a psychological scene where he’s running from himself, either way I’m excited for the second one

Here's hoping for psychological. If it's really going to be a musical, seeing a bunch of stuff in Arthur's head would be a good way to integrate that naturally into the film.

I can't wait to see this.👍🏻🃏 It's going to be another brilliant take on joker. A mate of mine said Joaquin lost another 50 lbs for the role. But the photos I saw, Joaquin looks like he lost more than 50 lbs. Anyway he's my favourite actor, and joker is a great character.

I am gutted that I missed out on the first one in theaters. If I could turn back time I would have watched it more than once. I just recently watched it and had to add it to my collection of films after renting it. It’s safe to say I’ve seen it a handful of times now and it nothing short of a Masterpiece. I am not a big fan a musicals however now thanks to this film I’ve become a big fan of Joaquin Phoenix and will literally watch anything he’s in.

@@felixthecat2786 Arthur didn’t hate women though so the critics were wrong. I am so jealous yet happy you got to see it that many times. My wishful thinking has me hoping someday they’ll bring it back in theaters but I know damn well it’ll never happen. I freaking WISHHHH I got to see the Murray Franklin talk show scene on a large screen and the intensity of the volume films play on their PA systems.

it is very far from a masterpiece in terms of writing, but if youre just talking cinematics then sure I guess. It is over-worshipped as movie. It's writing isn't the greatest, and there are far better films that hit the same quotas.

I never saw the first one, when it came out I ignored all the buzz and skipped the trailer ads because I thought it was another Batman movie, which I’m not into. However, watching the full trailers and reviews now, it looks good. I like the new take on mental illness and villains because it’s an important topic that has many parallels to the real world. I may watch the second one when it hits theaters but I’ll be sure to watch the first one beforehand so I can follow the story. My dad watched the first one and said it was good so maybe we can see the second one. I haven’t watched a lot of Joaquin Phoenix films but it seems like he really performed well in these Joker movies.

Personally I don't think Joker _needs_ a sequel. It was a pretty self-contained story on it's own. But having said that, Joaquin's performance was so good, so captivating that I'll watch Joker 2 regardless

Yea, it was filmed almost 2 weeks ago in downtown L.A. on Broadway between 5th & 6th St. They shot for 2 days there.

What I'm more interested in is where they get the background cars from. I'm assuming they're donated for filming from collectors? Or there's a warehouse somewhere that houses cars for different eras?
