I am proud to call Joaquin my friend. I am also ecstatic that finally, it seems he will be nominated for and win the Academy Award for Best Actor In A Leading Role. Joaquin and I met standing in line inside a vegan restaurant in Palm Springs, California, 15 years ago. I vividly remember it as if it just happened. He was in front of me so I said, "Hey Joaquin, how old were you when you did To Die For with Gus Van Sant, like 17?" ..... To my surprise he turned around and replied, "Men, that happened a while ago but yes, I was pretty young". It seems that he recognized my accent so he then continue on and asked, "Are you by any chance from Puerto Rico?" ..... to my reply, "Yes, how do you know?" ..... he said, "I was born in Puerto Rico. My parents moved around a lot and they lived there a while. My brother was named River because he was born in Rio Piedras". I was so pleased and surprised because I was also born in Rio Piedras so I replied, "You gotta be kidding me. I am also from Rio Piedras". ...... After that we sat and chat about everything for a good 20 minutes, exchanged numbers and became good friends. I saw the movie just a couple of days ago in a private screening in Los Angeles. Anyways, that's my story and That is my buddy, Joaquin.

@@supertuesday600 The protagonist is the main character of a story. It seems like, in this, the antagonist is actually the entire city of Gotham and it's class structure.

Been following this guy since Gladiator & Signs. Walk the Line was a game-changer and did an excellent job in Her. Can’t wait to see him kill it in Joker! Great job Joaquin... one of the all-time greats.

Finally an honest interviewer.. Joachin was really comfortable with the interview. Props to the lady for making it a good conversation than an awkward interview that we have nowadays..

I think the girl's innocence and jolly nature got Joaquin 😍😍😅😅he is the most comfortable here i love it ..so cute

I like this kind of interviews asking real questions. Not those type, where they only ask if you have any memorable experience during shooting, or how your co-actors were like.

The way he describes how he loves playing Joker and not liking playing Arthur gave me chills. The trailers show mostly Arthur so we all will see how vastly different these characters are. Cant wait!

Same man, makes me wonder the madness and ruthlessness that the Joker scenes will showcase.

Nice to see J.P actually enjoying being interviewed for once...he likes these kinds of interviewers it seems and not so much the smarmy late night American hosts.

Bravo! Passionate and good listener interviewer, with interesting questions. Seems like is challenging Joaquin to think deeper than he is used to with other hosts. You can tell he seems much more into this interview than any others I have seen so far. She is genuinely interested to listen him.
