How does this amazing interview only have have hundreds of views while American interviews will have millions of views in a few days?
@ehmiguel76024 жыл бұрын
Isaac Gonzalez well, American interviews are usually put out by big name corporations or companies and will likely be seen by more people. They are also usually longer.
@ayanmukherjee29464 жыл бұрын
Not very surprising is it.....a generic interview (or any product for that matter) is comfortable for the masses, with a lot of takers (thus backed by larger studios and channels, for a wider market). A niche sample like this will not cater to a broader array of consumers.....part of the reason it stays niche (open to debate).

A very impressive interviewer who asks interesting, intelligent questions to Todd and also Joaquin without revealing the plot or being too gushing. She should do all the interviews. Amazing job!

"Todd Phillips: He didn't just fall in a vat of Acid, that wouldn't turn you white and die your hair green" Shots fired, shots fired, and I love his response. Honestly the Suicide Squad's blame falls entirely on writing and directing, its not Jared's fault entirely, the character was written in such a way, Suicide Squad's Joker is a very silly/lame take on the character. The question the interviewer asks about defeat or evolution is a very very interesting question and I for one can't wait to interpret on my own after watching the movie. I think if the interviewer's first language was English she would probably say 'defeat or evolution or devolution' but nonetheless a very, very interesting question.
@darkseid8564 жыл бұрын
I agree. Sometimes tyring to be 100% accurate to comics and Animations can also lead to disaster, because comics and Animations are very different compared to a live action movie. And the answer to that question is actually both depending upon from which perspective we are talking. Form Arthur's perspective, it is an evolution because he feels happier and more free by being joker. But he is a burden to the rest of the world due to his actions, a "loss" for the world. This "loss" can also have different meaning. For example, batman and joker both of them, what they are is due to the pain in their lives, the only difference is their paths are different, batman is like a symbol that a even if someone feels depressed, lost everything in their life, they can still be a good person. He represent the faith in humanity. While joker is exact opposite who just wants to see chaos, he represents the "loss" of faith in humanity. Fucking hell I didn't even realised that I wrote a fking essay.
@alexmathayes14 жыл бұрын
@@darkseid856 I would probably reserve my analysis about Joker being a burden or him evolving from Arthur till I see the movie myself. As Todd says 'He is the hero of the story upto a point where you can't root for him anymore, the point where you can't root for him will be different for everybody else' I will decide after watching the movie. Even the review from IGN says 'the character may ask you to feel sorry for him but doesn't ask you to forgive him' meaning unlike other movies where they try to make the bad guy nice till the end. In a way I'm actually glad there's no Batman in this movie because if there was, you already have a good guy to whom you can compare him with which automatically makes you dislike the Joker. Nice essay BTW. Jared Leto may be thinking, earlier I had to somehow compete with Heath but now after Joaquin he might as well not try at all.

DC's Jokers are all set in different era and they symbolize different philosophies according to the time era they are in.. 1. Leto's joker (batman's middle of his life) was set in modern times who likes to be a powerful gangster and wants to exploit everything.. 2. Heath Ledger's Joker was set in 2008-09 (when batman's in prime) and who likes to watch the world burns. 3. Here Joaquin's Joker sets in early 80ies when bruce was merely a kid. like batman joker is a symbol as well..
@JoseCruz-dk3fi4 жыл бұрын
He didn't shoot any shots at Jared, he's stated that he loved his Joker. He's just saying that this isn't the classic comic book story where the villain is created by some freak accident in a fantasy world. This is a hyper-realistic rendition of what Joker could be in the real world with real world situations and illnesses. The point of this movie is that anybody could really be Joker if the circumstances were right. That's why so many people understand the character, because they see how it could be them if they were in his shoes.

Some great questions by interviewer which gives insight into the character and it's intent.Even the director was surprised by the interpretation.And that's exactly what characters like "Joker" does.It let's the audience decide at what point they should stop rooting for them or never at all. More power to you.

I actually never stopped rooting for him. Maybe it's because we go into the movie understanding who's he's going to become...so in a way he's simply fulfilling his destiny. When he becomes Joker he develops so much confidence and swagger that it feels like he's finally in his natural state.

According to me turning into joker thing was evolution... A coping mechanism.. But isn't all the evolution is kind of defeats? We don't think so quite often cause it's subjective. A child when born is innocent but as he or she grows up he realises that speaking truth at every event will only bring trouble so then he evolves to lie... Is that a defeat? In a perfect world... Yes.. But not in the actual realistic world we live in.. Here if he doesn't lie in certain occasions he will get beat up... And eventually perish. Nature only selectes the strongest the one who evolves with time to adapt in adverse weather & conditions. The most dangerous and old creatures in our planet looks really filthy... For example the centipedes.. They can melt your skin with their digestion enzyme... They are living on this earth long before humans, they evolved over the course of time and now they are so dangerous that even we are kind of afraid of them. Is that evolution defeat? No not for them.. Because if apocalypse happen they'll survive... It's a defeat in our eyes because the evolution of millions of years have turned them into these evil creatures that can melt the skin and shallow a rat whole... Again this is how it is subjective. In nature and society it's always survival of the fittest.
