Today we talk about the power of #networking to keep the momentum going during tough times. It's no doubt the #covid19 #pandemic has had a negative impact on millions of people worldwide. There are currently 22 million ppl in the U.S. who are unemployed because of this. What do you do during these times? NETWORKING is the key!
P.S. these concepts don't only apply to times like now (Apr 2020), but ALWAYS!

I agree with you. It's not what you know, it's who you know. That's very important. They care more about experience now instead of looking at your resume.

Networking is important, but knowing how to grow potatoes or make fire without matches might be just if not even more important

Heey Will. I work at a Brazilian advertisement agency as a Media Coordinator. And recently when i was searching for Database areas, then i found your video. I found my new job in this time (pandemic) and like you said, they didn't want to know what college degree i had or what course that i did, they wanted to know if i had these skills that they wanted for that time. Now i work for two agencies remotely.

I know you probably wont get around to answering this comment but I just want to know if you have any personal recommendations for I.T. jobs for introverts. Finding it hard to want to pursue an I.T. job if I have to start off at the help desk.

I'm an introvert believe it or not. You can't let that get in the way of your career. It's nearly impossible to function in this world without dealing with ppl. You have to learn how to. I.T. is a great career choice for introverts because many jobs in this industry are low key with not alot of interaction. However, you need to start somewhere. It's a mindshift that you'll have to work on.

Yep been unemployed since feb 4 2020. Still unemployed. News flash. It isnt going to come back. At least not for 10 years. Cloud certs Database certs Network eng certs If you dont have those. You are going to live in abject poverty.

It's def a tough economy for sure but there is work for those who know how to find it and land the job. There is alot more to it than just applying.
