He went into the same spot that the egg did. The egg created a different surface from the surrounding water. It's the same reason Olympic divers have bubbles in the pool. It changes the density altering the impact.

You can create a setting with new rules like "magic exists", and still tell a story that is **internally** consistent and logical. It's not true that all scifi and fantasy stories are just dumb and you should "turn brain off".

@@aarondrake841 With any fiction movie if something happens that doesn’t make sense in that movie’s fictional setting people shit on it. For example superhero movies a consistent problem is the superhero increasing or decreasing in strength or ability throughout the movie to suit the story

The very second they said Evan had a car crash and got a steel plate inserted in his head I knew that it’s going to save him from a headshot. The movie‘s fun to watch jut extremely predictable. I feel like if you watched the first 20 minutes you don’t even have to finish the movie, you already know what’s going to happen.

It's funny that with movies like The Matrix, Superhero movies, Tenet, and any films similar to that, they are fine with it, but not this one all because of "logic". If your looking for logic, go watch National Geographic or any other movies that don't have science fiction and fantasy. I happen to actually enjoy this film not because of all the action of this, but the idea of reincarnation and they just dumped it like nothing.

Ummmm I ain’t no scholar but even I know that falling from such a height and speed into the water is just like falling onto the ground/ land. Dude should’ve exploded basically from the force like his bones and things would’ve snapped out of place and all that nasty stuff yet he lands into the water like he just dove from the diving board at my local neighborhood pool 😂

terrible movie that could have and should have been absolutely amazing, like a latter day matrix. Instead, the pacing was way off, the fight scenes looks like the best of it was on the cutting room floor. I was sooo disappointed in this movie. They had so much to work with and they came up with this well funded flop.
