I whole heartedly second this sentiment! This verbal history of many of the defining moments of the 20th century, not only showcasing the evolution of our armed forces, but also the moments in time that defined who we were as a nation, but also the principles, traditions, sacrifice, and the resolve to uphold the very finest qualities of our great nation! The Michelin plantation, one HUGE game of whack-a-Charlie!!!!

Those stories must be told! The military learns “FROM” history and civilians learn “ABOUT” history. There is a huge difference. “From” comes from the event “about” can be changed by those in power. Keep up the good work!

Listening to this reminds me of chatting with my dad about the Philippines and Japan. Towards the end of his life we were in the hospital and he said something in tagalo to the nurse and she asked him know you've been in the Philippines? He says oh yeah a long time ago I walked across Luzon and Mindanao. She put him in touch with her dad who fought in the War also. I miss that man.

DimensionZombie ive deliberately started greeting those older than me im 44 with a " good morning Sir" or afternoon evening etc and truly meaning it since ive started doing it ive noticed these older men have started treating me with a old school respect even though they still think im one if the youngins lol i believe whats lacking in this world is old school male respect a respect driven by the fact we're all capable of vicious destructive things but our management and acceptance of them is what makes us just and right in our life

How disappointing this gem only has 35k views (currently).. A veteran of 3 gruesome wars with decades of latent knowledge and inspiration to draw upon. Think more folks need to hear a man's story like this. Respect and the utmost appreciation that men such as Mr. Fife walked this earth and fought for this country so I could be so bold as to insert my fruitless opinion.
