Michel Drucker interviews Jodie Foster, age 15, for her role in the French film "Moi, fleur bleue" (aka Stop Calling Me Baby!) by Éric Le Hung. She humorously imitates the expressions of her co-star Jean Yanne. October 23th, 1977.
Here's a translation of an extract from the video provided by instagrammer @thelaugh_in_ourstars. Thank you!
Michel: I saw you in the Saint Louis island the other day. You seemed feeling at home there. Greeting people...
Jodie: yeah (...)
Michel: Using the local slang I see! She speaks like Zazi! (Refering to Zazi dans le métro, a French classic.) How does Jean Yanne talk? If he'd say "I've got enough!" what would it sound like?
Jodie: "I'm so fckin' done with this"
Michel: You really master our language, don't you?
Jodie: No I didn't understand anything at all! The first day we didn't understand a thing. He kept joking around and we were looking at eachother like...
Michel: Tell me Jodie, you're 15, you're going to continue school?
Jodie: Yeah, I still go to school. This was my, "little" summer break. But yeah, I'm going back to school.
Michel: You're not gonna miss the French cuisine too much?
Jodie: Well, I'd like an hamburger from time to time, but the foie gras is... *hand gesture*.
Michel. Oh yeah? Alright.
