Abortion is a touchy issue. But before it became legal for women, the women of unwanted pregnancies still had those abortions. There are tales of women dying in an alley with clothes hanger hanging out of their wombs because she decided to discreetly have an abortion regardless of the law. So, as long as abortion is legal, it can be done properly. Besides, unwanted children will more than likely be neglected and become a scourge on society. I know that there's also a thin line between identifying the lifeform status of a zygote/embryo/ developing fetus from an expecting pregnancy and an unwanted pregnancy. My heart goes out to all those families who have lost an expecting baby family member to an unexpected event. And I especially include all of those women who lost their test tube babies or frozen eggs and sperm samples or whatever those potential children are acknowledged to be- due to that freak accident at one of in vitro fertilization clinics. I am also aware of an already established law involving the mother of a stillborn fetus over 24 weeks into development (about 6 months) having to register for the fetus's birth certificate and a death certificate, and then make a decision about its funeral arrangements. Abortion clinics, on the other hand, will dispose of the discarded zygotes, embryos, fetuses of unwanted pregnancies as merely biological human tissue waste- in the same manner that we expect them to properly disposed of a teratoma. Somewhere before 24 weeks should be the respectable timeframe for the developing fetus to be legally classified as an individual lifeform with a right to continue its development until birth. A well defined classification of the developing fetus that actually stands a chance of surviving a premature birth should be the guidelines to when abortion is nearly impossible. But anywhere before 12 weeks should still be that woman's decision about what to do with an unwanted pregnancy. A before 8 weeks abortion window is even more idealistic if that is her decision pertaining to the unwanted pregnancy. And in the land of the free and our modern-day society, a woman should not have to be subjected to the idealistic ideology of others or any kind of imperialistic idiocracy when it comes down to if she wants to be the host of an unwanted pregnancy. I'm not trying to argue with you about what is moral. There's too much hypocrisy mixed in this topic already. Michael Jackson summed it better in one of his songs when he said, "If you can't feed your baby- then don't have a baby." But I'm saying if you don't like abortion, then don't have an abortion. Don't be a hypocrite when it comes down to someone else's legal rights in this land of freedom (just because you have fundamental differences or conflicting worldviews. Don't even judge them. As a matter of fact, we- as a people, should concentrate more on cultivating the culture and family values that encourages and empowers our own women to marry first then raise the family that their union can afford.
