RnM has finally picked up after being a snoozefest, NO thanks to Mal's dull takes. Outside the Drake/Kendrick beef, Mal is as exciting as a soggy sandwich. Rory, Baby D, and Julian are the real MVPs holding it together. Even though JBP's been slipping, it’s still better than RnM. Totally agree about Flip - JBP is way better without him. He should just be the Guillermo (Jimmy Kimmel) of the JBP 😂😂

Rory and Mal podcast is HILARIOUS, especially within these past 4-6 months. They really found their groove, it’s a different show (and a better one imo) than the JBP. It’s more comedy and less serious than JBP. I’ve tried to give both shows a chance and at first The Rory and Mal podcast was kinda a tough watch, but they really got a good comedic chemistry with Demaris and Julian. It reminds me of old school JBP in that way. Everytime I try and watch JBP, it feels so tense, like they’re all annoyed with Joe or each other. Like they wanna tell Joe to go fuck himself but don’t have the leverage or integrity to do so. And Joe is kinda delusional and bitter nowadays, it seems like. It seems like it eats at him how badly he fucked up what he Mal and Rory had going, but is too proud to admit he started to let the fame go to im his head and became who he fought against. I hated when the original show ended but now I am glad because we wouldn’t of gotten the Rory and Mal podcast. I do like when they have guests on JBP and there is stuff that happens that I still go to see what Joe Buddens take on it is every now and then, but other than that…if we’re talking sitting through an entire episode - Rory and Mal and it’s not even close. I say this as someone who regularly listened to JBP since the early days and a year after the split with Rory and Mal. Joe is manipulative and power trips too much. There’s stuff I’ve heard him say to Ish and Melissa Ford that’s so disrespectful and they do nothing about it. AND WHY DOES HE KEEP ADDING MORE CO-HOSTS?!?!? It’s eventually gonna be like 50 people standing around talking in there having different conversations with each other. Cut the shit man 😆

The jbp has regressed horribly, there was a time when every episode was golden and you were irritated when it was over. But that’s what happens when you hire people that are only there for a salary instead of actually being invested in the success of the pod. I agree I had been a Patroni for about 2-3 years now, I just cancelled my subscription this month. It’s not as entertaining anymore, the cast used to have me glued to the screen but recently Joe just kind of getting boring. I like Ish perspective, Mel’s goofy humor, Ice music takes, Parks one liners, love E, but it feels Joe has taken his foot off the gas. I think he realizes he is number 1 in the podcast business space. But really AK is the most entertaining between the two and his content is free. So yeah good luck with your business Joe

I don’t watch Joe podcast since the breakup but I hear clips and good takes from Joe at times so I’ll always give Joe his props, but all I want for Joe and his podcast, is for him to keep treating his new crew good and move accordingly and keep doing what he’s doing. I’m a day 1 OG fan of the Joe Budden podcast with Rory and Mal, but even though they went their separate ways Joe has a talent for media so he always going to be good but he just need to keep up his positive energy and not let his past mistakes get in the way and he’ll continue to be successful. (And by past mistakes I mean Joe getting in his own way lol).

I agree with Danny completely. The pod has been in a bad space for like 3 months now. I was listening since episode 1 but decided to take a break and unsub from the Patreon about 2 months ago. It has become to formulaic and redundant. Pocket watching Ish, Ice me tooing the conversations, dog piling on Mel, Joe saying dumb sh*t and no one calling him out for it, and the battle of the sexes stuff is just old now. I don't know though, it might just be that I have outgrown it. But I objectively have a better time listening to RnM and other pods whereas when I listen to Joe I spend a lot of times with the "WTF is y'all talking about" face. It's time for a switch up over there whether it be the cast or the formula. The dynamic between Joe "The Boss" and the cast "his employees" has taken a way from the friends kicking it dynamic that was present in the early days.

Joe needs regular ppl who are charming and know the culture and real life experience. It feels everyone is there with their own agenda and dont bring anything new or relevant. I think Imani is a good perm cast
