“It’s simple. Smith’s wife had emasculated him with her “open” relationship that Will doesn’t accept, despite what he might say. His laughing at the joke then seeing his wife’s displeasure made him overreact to her negativity to “show her” he can be that man she wants. It’s over compensation for something that he’s never going to achieve. He needs to leave that relationship.” ~ Comment taken from another video. Sorry I can’t find his name.

Then he danced all night while the only big name celebs to say anything where people like nicki Minaj who supported the slap. His son tweeted out "that's how we do", which got over 1million likes. Then there was a debate for over a month about whether or not he was justified for slapping chris rock for telling a joke lol. Over a year later the only real big name celeb to 100% condemn Will has been jim carrey, and now that his mouth stopped hurting Chris is breaking his over a year long silence lol. Yes and no. Chris Rock needed to file suit and report the abuse. To stand up and say to the world no...this isn't ok. I'm not 'better' for not charging Will Smith with assault! It's this sort of mentality that continues to enable to belief that this sort of crap will be tolerated and is acceptable to do without consequence. And it's hardly going to be an issue right? It'll be a thing then disappear...but it'll be on record. Let Will Smith know it's not personal...but absolutely do the right thing...which is standing up to bullies and abuse! Not reporting it is why people continue to be abused in domestic relationships. Not reporting it is why people have been horribly abused in the movie industry. It's not acceptable to abuse a women and we expect and support those that are and when they lay charges....but a man should just cop it and be 'the bigger man'? Yeah nah! Chris did well at the time to restrain himself...though I imagine it was probably more fight or flight and Chris doesn't come across as the sort to go into fight agaisnt a guy that's probably twice his weight. He dropped the ball in not charging Will Smith and laying it down that that sort of behaviour is totally f***ing unacceptable. Boo hoo...someone said something nasty about your wife. Yeah...poor form regardless of Chris's 'role' on the night. But there's a process for people that abuse others where there is no justification of self defence.
