Common sense tells us the Earth is flat. I think it was Einstein that said that. It's funny, silly, but also true. Go up to the highest mountain peak an look, it seems flat from our tiny perspective. You can't see what it really is until we get up high enough. An there are still people today that think earth is flat, all the videos, photos etc etc are faked for some reason?????

There was a show on the OWN network, I forget what it was called (maybe Undercover Bosses?’)where the CEOs of companies would go undercover as regular low-level employees at one of their franchises and have to work alongside other employees at the lowest level. I wish some of these celebrities like Bill Maher would have to work a regular 9 to 5 job and try to make ends meet on $15 an hour. Having to take their laundry to the laundromat and pay their overpriced rent . Try to eat clean and healthy on that budget. Then they would get a real taste of the majority of Americans feel like in this economy.

It's more expensive to eat fast food. It's cheaper to buy a bunch of ground beef and frozen vegetables-a couple of sacks of potatoes. You have to be intentional about it. It's just that people are addicted to all the chemicals in fast food and can't cook. This idea that it's because people are broke is ridiculous. I eat clean and work in maintenance. You have to want to eat clean. Take some personal responsibility
@HH-gv8mx

@@kylekitzman as a health and fitness coach and an avid runner , I assure you I do it clean. I cannot remember the last time I ever Even had fast food and the last time I went out to eat was a few years ago. I can tell you this, I spend $400 a month just on produce just for myself. And I do not believe that it’s cheaper to eat clean than to eat fast food.. , I know that’s not true. You can download apps and find deals every single day for fast food. I never get a discount on organic blueberries raw almonds. Scallops or cod. I just bought 2 red onions and a couple avocados and spent $11. A box of spinach was seven dollars. One zucchini cost me $2.25. One kombucha, $4. And one piece 3.65 Oz fish $9. That’s barely a whole meal and I’m sure you could get ATLEAST two fast food meals for that price. BOTTOM LINE, IT’S CHEAPER TO EAT LIKE SHIT THAN IT IS TO EAT HEALTHY.

Most standup comedians DO live on very little income in their early years. The reason why the successful ones make it is because they have that real world experience where they worked a minimum wage job and observed all the crazy people they had to endure in the process. It's not like Bill Maher and Joe Rogan were born with silver spoons in their mouths. They struggled for a long time in order to get where they are.

I was wondering if this was old.... What's scary is that I've listened to 3/4 of this podcast not being sure if it was old or new. It was uploaded yesterday, so I thought new, but there were a couple things said that I was like, "what?" But in general, this episode could have been taped yesterday and I would believe it. How weird. In that context I'm very impressed with Bill's stance on the vaccine and that he said it out loud.

Thanks for explaining this to me, or at least suggesting a plausible reason why this was re-uploaded. Though as far as I know every JRE show was always available here on YT... It just showed up in my suggestions when I loaded the app today, and as I saw it was posted two weeks ago I obviously assumed it was fresh. But early in, Bill mentioned it being 2022. I thought he was having a senior moment for a second. 😂 Weird, but I'll take it. They are interesting guys and it's cool to see em together even if it's aged a bit. You know, I've been a big fan of Bill Maher for a couple of, you know, decades now. He's, you know, a true intellectual that has, you know, a lot of qualities other than being, you know, astute about being politically correct about social issues and, you know, just being a thinking individual. He's like, you know, honest, funny, doesn't pander to anybody, and, you know, he gets right to the point without, you know, floundering and talking around a subject, and, you know, he's just smart about a lot of random things like, you know, alternate media, being woke, religious, common sense, and communication like, you know, podcasts, and anything that matters to average, you know, people. You know, there might be a drinking game with the phrase, you know, whenever Bill repeats, "you know." Keep it, you know, REAL TIME, Bill!

When talking about science, he's pretty much a m0ron, has no clue what he's talking about. It's typical of these no-nothing populists with severe Dunning-Kruger overload to opine away cluelessly, they're no difference than Terrence Howard saying 1+1=2, that's how ridiculous Bill Maher is when trying to talk about biology. Yeah dude, they haven't mapped everything out yet, it's an extremely complex system. But of what we have mapped out, we know a lot, and the best thing we have is consensus, that's all we can have. We didn't use to know Pluto existed, we had only mapped 8 planets. Does that mean the experts weren't right about the 8 planets? We even know there was a 9 planet, we just didn't know where to look originally. Rogan hates educated, experts, after all, he was a fscking Moon Landing denialist and has Flat Earther friends. Gawd I hate the anti-intellectualism of these m0ron populists. They're bringing this country down, at the same time the MAGA crowd is trying to keep out immigrants, who are often vastly more educated and knowledge than they are. I have worked in tech for 30 years, and honestly, if not for the Asians, Indians, and Jews who immigrated, we'd be fscked to compete with China. This kind of anti-science, anti-expertise behavior didn't exist in the 50s, even conservatives were in favor of our institutions. Now we've devolved into a society of ignoramuses, who don't want to put into the REAL WORK to learn a subject, but instead with to be fed conspiracy theory BS on podcasts. Good fscking grief.

I've taken a number of LSD trips, and mushroom trips, but by far my most psychedelic experience was the time I kind of ODed on hash oil. I got so high so fast that I had to lie down or fall down. I laid on an soft old brass bed, in the completely quiet dark, and had these beautiful visions. They looked like computer animation, accompanied by an auditory hallucination of great music that sounded like an orchestra of synthsizers. This was 1972 -- there was no computer animation, and only synthesizers were huge machines, available only to people like Pink Floyd or The Beatles. I was able somewhat to direct the mental movie I was watching, and change it a little, but I don't think I could have stopped it. I had no desire to stop it anyway, and it just sort of faded slowly away. Joe's relating Terrence McKenna's idea about marijuana as a psychedelic reminded me of this experience. And I'm old, so I'm full of stories. 🤓

Basic research has championed the greatest discoveries. Government funding has been reduced for this and we are seeing the effects of putting research and development in the hands of the private arena which is concerned about profits. Equal funding should be spent for government funded and private research to maximize progress.

I can't wait until Joe has a paranormal or major "glitch" experience for real and knows he wasn't mistaken or hallucinating because other sober people experienced the same thing on the same occasion. Bill's right, fasting really works as a reboot - after 3 days you realize the hunger thing is all in your head, at least for the first 21 days. I knew long before it was announced that Premarin caused breast cancer. You can't tell me the doctors didn't know it too. I couldn't imagine why they didn't speak out or at least stop prescribing it, especially since a hot flash every now and then is not a disaster. Like Bill, I gagged laughing on every page of Mamet's "November". Charlie was SO MUCH LIKE Trump! Everyone should read it every presidential election year.

One of my nieces got lime disease, a year before the Olympics trials, her training was intermittent with this disease and treatment. She managed to qualify for the team with the 4th best world time. However at the Olympics her body was just wrecked. Her final time was 10th, it was so hard on her physically and emotionally, but we all thought she was an amazing athlete. 🥇 Now back to the show , I’m finding Bill Maher very egotistical. Yes his a funny man but he doesn’t like listening to an opposing opinion, even though he says he does. I think this very interview highlights why Joe has so many subscribers he listens to everyone, has his own opinions but doesn’t belittle anyone for different views. Bill said Joe is king, well he is. Congrats

Great. So you are telling me that there is a dreadful phantom disease in the US they can't barely deal with, and in Europe they have a friking vaccine. You know the problem with cov? It didn't off enough people. If it had the bosses would have been forced to really take healthcare SERIOUSLY. Next time it will be as contagious as cov, as deadly as SARS and as horrible as Ebola.

Kids have more anxiety, it’s a totally different world now. When you grew up, you could go outside for hours by yourself or with your friends and not have to worry about being abducted or sexually abused because you were outside for hours on end. (Yes abuse still happened back then). When you grew up there wasn’t social media where people are constantly bullying you if they don’t like the way they like! . And there’s so many other things like climate change,pressure in the schools, school shootings! You don’t think that would’ve caused you to have some anxiety when you were kid? I know it would have for me and I’m a pretty laid-back person. Bill, you are out of touch with American youth and children and what they have to go through and what their life experience is like! Because you have no kids, because you have no grandkids! Quit dumping on them.
@Andy-ui9ur
@Andy-ui9ur 25 күн бұрын
I see it in my own kid. She is 9. Sure anxiety can also be a subconscious thing and never knowing the why but she’s always worried about things and outcomes. I try my best to help her. I always tell her to not worry about the things that mom and dad need to worry about. I tell her let us worry about it and enjoy being a kid. Before going somewhere or school she has to use the bathroom and feels rushed. I used to be the same as a kid. Maybe not quite what you’re saying but the anxiety is legit in general more now than ever especially for kids. Had to teach her escape plans for some of the things you mention. It’s sad.

Sexual abuse still happened in high numbers "when you grew up," it was usually just accepted and swept under the rug. Sex abuse, rape was highly underreported in decades past. It still is, but that's a ripple effect from untreated trauma from sexual abuse of years past.
