I love Joe, but he was really annoying in this episode. Constantly interrupting Andrew and not only stating his opinion but making it sound like his opinion is the truth (versus maybe asking Andrew if that’s accurate or not - this is a Stanford professor you have on, not some random comedian). Hubes handled it really well.

Dr. Huberman said it's not good to be on Ashwagandha long-term, however the green drink he promotes "Athletic Greens" or AG1 as it's called, contains this herb and the drink is to be consumed daily. The efficacy and safety of long-term Ashwagandha use over months or years is not known.

@@1Ma9iN8tive I know loved ones who have tried to come off of this herb and it is a horrendous experience. Tapering for nearly one year still with side effects similar to those when tapering from psychiatric medications like Zoloft. Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it does not have long term effects and changes to the brain. People consume it because it’s effective so it’s obviously creating a chemical reaction. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a believer in nature’s medicine but also aware they are also very potent and not at all studied long term. I have so much empathy for those trying to come off of it.

It must’ve been expensive! I was able to do this and get off Remicade infusions when I could afford the lifestyle . But eventually I went bankrupt, making sure that I got enough sunlight and not working two jobs to pay my rent which doubled and the obscene amount of $$$ that produce costs. As soon as I had to move into a tiny apartment that cost $2100 a month with black mold and had to limit my Whole Foods trips and eat organic produce from Walmart, my Crohn’s disease and psoriatic arthritis came right back.

You know, here in scandinavia we like our saunas very hot and we alternate our visits in them with either snowbaths/ice baths in lakes; or by taking ice cold showers. I can't dispute Huberman's assertion that warm exposure enhances tolerance to warmer climates and cold exposure does the same for cold climates. However, in my experience it's exactly the reverse, exposure to cold temperatures actually improves my ability to handle warm weather better. I believe this is a memory thing on cellular level, If my body remembers the cold it actually enjoys the warmth more.

The ONLY reason South-East Asia is the largest ocean pollutor is because “developed” countries such as the US, the UK, the whole of Europe, Australia and Canada are shipping their waste to the South-East Asia, where it’s dumped and burnt, with most of it ending up in the ocean. America IS one of the top plastic polluters in the world with one of the highest plastic waste/per capita. Please educate yourself about waste colonialism and illegal waste trade before blaming the global South for the global North’s problem

@davidstarreveld8598
@davidstarreveld8598 Ай бұрын
Probably because the guest generates a less dramatic and more informative impression on viewers. I also encounter it in my family, when I send them clips of Huberman they're not really interested.
