You're right Jeremy... I'm a mid 60's female who has never been on facebook, twitter, snap, or any other social media platform. My cell is an old flip phone with no extras - calls in, calls out - a true "phone" for calling needs. I still walk with my head up, but it is a rare occasion when you can make eye contact with a fellow human. My friends get frustrated with me because I don't have texting capabilities... I much rather take a minute longer to communicate by voice instead of typing back and forth. I don't think we're living differently... we're just still living. It's the rest of the world that has "unplugged" from life and society.

The best advice I ever got was "You can do anything you put your mind to" -My Mom. And if there are challenges or there's adversity, you don't get a "trigger warning" and run away, you run towards it and face it with determination. It's the only way to grow stronger, you will only get and stay weaker if you are continually coddled and shielded from what challenges you. People need to grow up and face reality.

It is really hard to be a doctor. I appreciate Joe Rogan saying that so much. I just missed a close friend’s wedding bc of my medical training, and I’ve been extremely sad about the continuous sacrifices I have to make. It made me so happy that he acknowledged how hard it is. Doctors get a lot of hate these days, and I understand why, but it’s like people forget how much we sacrifice to serve

The best thing parents can do is to develop a good relationship with their children from birth, and never send them to public school. Or do everything you can to develop a relationship at whatever stage they are at, and pull them out of public school. Private school is a huge sacrifice for our family, but knowing she’s safe and not being indoctrinated is priceless. She’s also getting an excellent education.

The social worker is going against what i say telling me i need to change. I am to hard on my kids because i try to hold them accountable for their actions. I should let them think they are in charge but quietly know i am...how the hell does that work out. No wonder kids are the way they are today. Parents have no say.
