As a current FF i see it first hand. The girl I got hired with was the last to finish every physical test by almost ten minutes from the next dude.. Couldn’t do one pull up so she got to hang for like twenty seconds instead. During probation they took out more physical tests like carrying a roof ladder up the 24 and placing it on a roof to vent. No one ever said why they took it out but I knew. I don’t bid with her mostly because I don’t trust her to save me if I go down but also because in the fire house we banter and talk smack to each other. You say the wrong thing even around her and you’re gambling on your job. So yeah it’s a great experiment… not

I took a class in college called “History of the Soviet Union”. When learning about the Bolshevik revolution, I raised my hand and asked my professor, “Do you see any similarities between what happened there and what’s happening in society today?” (We were specifically talking about how students in the USSR essentially “cancelled” their professors who were thought to be against the party) He quickly said, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Paused for a moment, class completely silent, then continued the lecture. Scary stuff.

Robert E. Lee was actually an amazing person. Look at his relation to George Washington. Look in to how he struggled with his devotion to the Union and to the South, his home. Lets take a second to appreciate what Joe has done for society. For those whove been following him long enough you know the establishment has thrown all they can at him in order to discredit him. And none of it stuck. Why? Because Joe does not operate on bullshit. He's anti-bullshit. And that's why I've been lustening to him since the beginning.

A bigger bullshit parade than these two charlatans in ten days is impossible to imagine to any person who isn't an ideological driven brain-dead f***face.

This is my first time listening to a Joe Rogan podcast. Wow! He's so much smarter than I expected. My kids love watching old Fear Factor episodes with their dad, but that was the only exposure I had. I'm a Christian and I appreciate how respectful James and Joe were in this episode. Joe is correct - humans are wired for religion, and if you think you don't practice a religion, you're wrong. They really didn't look into that arrested for memes story properly and realize how messed up it was. He wasn't arrested for memes he made, he was arrested for things other people said because he happened to be in the group at that time. And the entire group chat was apparently from seven years ago, they suddenly whipped out this group chat to arrest him with because his party was doing well in politics recently and they needed to get rid of him. They read the first news article they could find and didn't realize the article might be slanted.

Concerning the Boeing clip in this episode - For folks who haven't worked in this kind of environment, I can not overemphasize enough how insane it is to have mechanics sign off on their own work. Of course if your organization allows it, the mechanics will generally be all for it because that means you get jobs done quicker, but it is so important to have that extra layer of oversight (engineering, QA or otherwise) to review said work.

I’m a gay man, and I don’t think drag queens should be in the classroom. If you’re gay or trans, you will know. I knew I was gay when I was in elementary school, so I kept to myself a lot and did not get too close to anyone because I saw a boy, who wasn’t even gay, get beat up everyday in 5th grade in 1995 because the other kids thought he was gay. The teacher never did anything about it. I’m from a small town in Georgia, so it wasn’t uncommon to be in the same classroom with the same kids in elementary school through high school. He ended up becoming one of those quiet trench coat kids in high school. Nobody messed with him anymore after the Columbine High School shooting. I wish I would’ve had someone to talk to when I was little, but I dealt with it as best as I could. I’m 40 now, and am part of a great community in Las Vegas. Folks will find their tribe. I love my drag queen friends, but they don’t need to be in the classrooms. Just make sure children are not being picked on or bullied. That’s more important. I never went to prom either lol.

I think societally, we put to much emphasis on schooling, for the wrong reasons. Learning, is the reason we are there. Unfortunately, that concept, has been coopted by a dangerous agenda. If all of the adults in authority, in/out of school setting, fostered the respect for individual rights and ideals, instead of special collective interests, it would greatly bridge disdain. I was pregnant, missed prom and I honestly could care less. Same wonderful man, 4 children, 10 grandchildren- that's what my life has been about and I'm looking forward, gratefully, as close as I can get to another 40 years!

The tribe is America, that's the only one that matters. To be honest, the only people who care who you're having sex with and in what fashion are you and your friends. That's it. The rest of the country, world and universe doesn't know you, doesn't think about you and doesn't give a shit about you or what you do with your genitals. Your time in school, in the scope of life, is a fart in the wind. Further, to pass judgement of adult society as a whole based on your experience with a small group of adolescent children and their actions is pretty narrow-minded. These days, there is no oppression. It's like talking to someone from California or New York, you don't even have to ask because they'll tell you every 5 minutes. Who you fuck or who fucks you is not your identity. What you contribute to society is. If everyone thought like this, the world would be a better place, and less sex crazed.

10 minutes in and I’m longing for the days when conspiracy theories weren’t happening real time. The past-tense versions provided a more enjoyable conversation.

I´m Flemish. Regarding the gun charge for Dries Van Langhenhove: he was the leader of a nationalistic conservative youth group and went to visit Viktor Orban in Hungary. They went to some kind of outdoor gun range there aswel and posted foto´s online, joking they were ready to I don´t know take back their country or protect their country from criminal aliens. It´s been years ago so I´m not completely sure about the details. No he did not have fire arms in Belgium which is highly illegal.

@@AnnoyingLordFoolofLands James Lindsey: "check this source, it says this, check that source, it says that. The Left is telling you exactly what they want to do." AnnoyingLordFoolofLands: "He's talkin' out of his ass with right wing talking points." Something tells me you came to that determinination based on intuition for what you've read/heard - not by actually checking all the sources that James lists for you to reference. It's like libs of tiktok, somehow people are mad that James is re-sharing what people have publicly said/posted.

On his own, James Lindsay is scholarly and not particularly energizing, but Rogan coaxes the best out of him. Excellent episode.

I agree, but I started listening to him at 1.5x speed. Completely solved the problem for me. I think all his little 'i'm so smart’ factoid digressions when he speaks on his podcast make it hard to listen to, but speeding it up seems to make it not matter. He does need to learn to structure his thoughts more clearly and get to the point though. A few years teaching primary school or something would sort him out.

He can be heavy on the academics, but it's important to be robust to ensure it can't be critiqued or dismissed. James is capable of being more informal. Check out his Cambridge talk and talk at the EU

good timing huh? Wider audience to consume political bullshit while none of the important things are discussed. Name them. JRE won't so his audience remains pseudo intellects not asking the right questions, the only question that needs an answer.
