This is probably the most satisfying rematch ever! Mirko lost the first fight by his own signature move just to win the rematch on the ground vs a grappler. Moreover, he was elbowed like never before in the first fight, just to elbow the shit out of Gonzaga in the rematch.

Yeah that's the beauty of this rematch it's similar to Kevin randleman where cro cop got caught by a right hand trying to defend against a fiegnt takedown loss by ko rematch submitted Kevin and choked him unconscious

i love how he fucked up gonzaga's face, you could see he in his face he wanted to destroy gonzaga because of what gonzaga did to him in their first fight, you don't head kick mirko cro cop and live to tell it, damn he destroyed gonzaga's fucking face, whata legend mirko is, enjoy retirement legend status already earned

CroCop, Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, Big Nog and Fedor are the reason why I train in MMA. The PRIDE fighters were and still are in a different class. THE BEST!

eh, all those guys fought in UFC and didnt do shit. i love pride but UFC was always better, if they were good in pride they went to the UFC or if they were good in UFC they would do one big money fight in pride and then go back to the actual pros

@@matthewfors114 Back in time, UFC was struggling and their figthers and champs fought in Pride too. Cro Cop in his prime even beat three of UFC champs, Barnett 3x, Randleman 1x and Coleman 1x.

@@mateobosnjak1904 think of pride like USFL, WHA, AFL. all lesser leagues that had sometimes the best player or 2 or 3 of the best players of all time in their respective sports had wayne gretsky and gordie howe on the same team, im pretty sure thats why grestsky even wore number 99, it was absorbed into NHL . USFL had steve young, jim kelly, herschel walker etc and AFL also had NE patriots, cowboys,jets etc. oh i cant forget the A.B.A. too, they had some good players like DR J

I was a mirco crocop filipovic fan since his first k1 an pride fights im 34 today an have always been a 👌 fan an when he came to ufc cages he was older but still great an when he was k.o.ed by gunzaga the first time I was devastated an when I whatched this fight i almost had a stroke screaming at the TV an ill never forget how excited this fight in particular made me.id also recommend the pat berry crocop fight was amazing sportsmanship but still a great fight.plus they sing the beach boys togeather before the fight.awsome stuff berry is more a fan then I am

Unfortunately Cro cop was way ahead from his prime and frankly too old for UFC where there are juiced up 20-30 year old monsters and cro cop is over 40 with more than 20 years in the sport, that takes a toll on the body.Past few years he was mostly fighting rematches and tournaments in Japan where he is a star and they pay a shit ton of money. He had a stroke recently and had to stop fighting due to the fact that if he would get a nasty shot to the head he would most likely die.
