Here's a good Florida Man story: I used to get some shiners and smoke a blunt by myself and wade out in to the mangroves by my apartment to feed this little group of dolphins. Then one night a bunch of Florida Wildlife Officers jumped me while I was walking into the water and I got an 1800 dollar ticket for "interfeering with wildlife" and arrested for possession of marijuana. Lol on my ticket it literally said "was observed multiple times smoking marijuana while feeding wild dolphins" LOL

That analogy of your child being kidnapped and then being put in a sealed box at the bottom of the ocean and being gauped at by dolphins really touched my heart and rammed home the inherent cruelty and inhumanity of places like sea world. When I took my children to the zoo I found myself in constant conflict with myself and the fact that every animal was no different than prisoners that were innocent, having been wrongfully convicted and sentenced ttyl live in captivity for crimes they did not commit. My guilt kept me from being able to enjoy the zoo that day. I have never been back, nor will I unless I can set them free. I can think of some people that appear in the news quite often lately that deserve to be on display at the zoo much more so than the animals that inhabit the zoo now.

I got a story for this: I was at SeaWorld with a bunch of friends one time and we were in front of the dolphin tank where you could feed and pet them, my friends and I were standing quite a ways back because a woman had a baby in a stroller near there that was crying uncontrollably and the dolphins were avoiding swimming in that area, we kept saying hey move the kid back get the kid out of the way move the kid back, finally one of the dolphins swam out to the little ledge there where you could feed them hopped up on the ledge took a giant s*** and then flapped its tail and fling it out over the crowd as soon as it jumped back into the water it started laughing and swam away.

It’s an incredible experience, I made friends with a wild dolphin while working on a mooring barge. I would dive with him practically every day. My favourite part was when I’d sit under water, upside down (floating against the hull of the boat) and we would just stare into each others eyes. It was like we both really wished we could communicate properly. He could pick up the sound of our boat from kms away whenever we started up the motors. That's very interesting. Like filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, Lilly had a rather detached view of human affairs, which didn't, however, prevent him from getting very emotional about some of them. He was very good at analyzing human communications networks and how they functioned or malfunctioned, however.

There is a dolphin family that lives near my fishing spot. Every time I take the boat out they follow us and swim with me. They get scared if im not the 1st person from the boat to get in the water but there memory is that good they remember me and let me hold onto them as they swim and dont leave my side and just play untill I leave. When the female had a baby she brang the baby over to me as I was swimming and stayed close to me untill my mate jumped in the water and scared them off. I named her "scar" because she has a scar on her face from a boat propeller.

Wrong, the beat up on pufferfish, who excrete a mind-numbing toxin which the dolphins apparently ingest by mouthing the fish.

Dr. John C. Lilly did, and he did a lot of questionable other things to dolphins too, but he had enough insight to finally realize that they are other, non-human persons, sapient, self-aware and communicative, like us. And then he did the right thing and quit working with them... for a while, anyway.

Dolphins have more brain convolutions. Which may be linked to higher intelligence. Mass or volume isn't a factor. I think this is true

@Emunuts5 жыл бұрын
@@iTzMaJorTaK sure its a factor but it's proven to be fairly unreliable. The treeshrew have brains 10% of total body weight, the highest of all animals. But their perceived intelligence doesn't seem even close to a regular lab rat.

@@mikekallos9248 Did he warn the White House? He warned me, because I talked to him in the hospital after his bicycle crash (tried to ride Topanga Canyon Rd. downhill at 50 mph while on ketamine high), and he wasn't making a whole lot of sense. Was about 1 taco short of a combo platter, in fact. Said aluminum foil was going to be the secret to survival, but... didn't say how. I wouldn't take everything he said as gospel, if I were you. Bring all sciences to the table even when dealing with esoteric and metaphysical frontiers. Yes in his autobiography he mentions the white house incident seems he was in some trouble as many wanted to have him committed. Right now is an amazing time the answers to many important questions are right in front of our faces right this second ! Too bad these truths are so strange and often terrifying that one may at once wish to return into the womb of delusion and ignorance ! Of you ever make it to Santa Cruz CA. Beers on me and lunch...
