@benny pitt That's actually very subjectieve! She was in a way very loyal to her master/community to a certain point, from a leaderships perspective. Morality doesn't really exist if you want to be 100% committed to the system you believe in. (which in fact was under attack) Does that then make you a psycopath? She did what thought was the right thing to do for her people but that doesn't mean that that's what people perceive who serve a different point of view... I mean, how many Americans went to war in the name of "the good" , to serve their country, Europe to... It's just the same thing. (btw, Americans stole the land of the native in a brutal way two...) You can say that all these soldiers are psychopath's now because they served a cult or reality in which they believed was then the right thing to do. You don't really know the intentions of the leaders in charge, because you can't see or know what's going on in their mind. Don't miss understand me! I also thing Sheela went Nuts at a certain point, she gained to much power and that can screw with people. But should't a wise man like Osho know what such Power can do to people, that it can corrupt you, he had full responsibility! It's dangerous to give such task to a young girl without the right guidance! But that's also something that we see in western cults too. Every culture is a cult eventually!... It's just a different one. Who's right or wrong is not a relevant question because duality it's a construct of mind and that's illusion... good or bad doesn't really exist. it's all very subjectieve....

Leonardo Bautista oh i don’t think im nuts... it’s a very extraordinary documentary to have an adult debate about. Im not here to fight to put my opinions across. If you don’t see it as i do that’s no problem! I don’t think osho was a conn artist actually. Why? Because his books do change lives until this day and will do long after his death... how is it possible that a man like Osho has such influence on other people? I mean, can you imagine that they bought a land to build a whole city with even an airplane base in just a matter of weeks... it opened my eyes for sure that we as humans could do so much more when we would serve a leader with the right understanding of our place in this universe. Though, one needs a huge shift in consciousness because when you grew up in the west, the only thing that you thought of to be right isn’t actually right at all and that’s what you can see in the news an all the hate thats going on in the world. Science begins to understand the knowledge what all religions have in common...

Joe, I lived with OSHO in Oregon for a full year - The movie is quite distorted - it was way more fun than you can imagine - My name was Prem Buddha Ghosha in that commune! I could tell you real stories about what it was really like. We did so many meditations to open us up. Sitting in silence, dancing, shaking, fast breathing and slow breathing - he really worked us to expand our hearts and consciousness. The Celebrations had many thousands of people doing the meditations and dancing - The sex was not anywhere near that wild. Osho taught Tantra with meditation and most people were in relationships. Only a few people out of thousands were sleeping around a lot. Some people switched partners after a short time, but the movie showed some sex therapy classes that were wild. I never did those groups.

Nobody talks about how they transformed a barren landscape into greenery to such an extent that wildlife came back. That’s what people need to take out of this, this is what is possible when people work together to create something. They built a fucking dam and generated 100% of their own power, food and water, nobody needs to depend on government for utilities. This is still true all over the world. Food, lodging and utilities are not a capitalist monopoly. 100% off grid clean pure self sustainable living is completely possible.

Yesterday, I listened about this documentary and for the first time, I got to know about this part of his life. I initially formed similar arguments against him, but when I delved deeper into his life and teachings, I realized that you cannot simply ignore him. His understanding of things was way ahead of his time.If a man talks about life, birth, and death, it is certain that he will also speak about sex or any related topics. People often pinpoint certain aspects and twist them. He spoke about every possible Hindu scripture, Buddha, Kabir, etc. He had a better understanding of other religions than the representatives of those religions. He even challenged some for a debate, but nobody accepted. You know why? Because they knew they would be destroyed. He was not a generic religious guru nor a morality teacher.

My reflections after watching Wild Wild Country: 👇👇👇 1) Business is about providing what consumers want. Most of the consumer needs are driven by hormones. Drug Mafia and Godmen know how to get to the source and unlock wealth. 2) B2C organizations in India can make more money by focusing on nations with higher per capita versus Indian customers. 3) Indian spirituality as a market is massively untapped globally. 4) Citizens of individualistic nations constantly crave belonging and citizens of nations that look down upon individualism crave power. 5) Sacrifice has the magical power to make things sacred. Not the other way around. 6) People can be convinced to believe anything as long as it creates social belonging and identity. It's not a surprise there is a flat earth society. 7) Older leaders should leverage young and ambitious ones to achieve large goals. They have the tenacity and energy, that can't come naturally to older teams. 8) Absolute power corrupts. No exceptions. 9) People trust wealthy and powerful more than regular folks. Subconscious trust is still very tribal. 10) People are territorial by nature. People dislike highly dissimilar people. People have empathy mostly for people like them only. 11) People are like elements in periodic table. Some more reactive than others. Reactive elements form bonds easily. 12) People who are addicted to hope, stay addicted to it. They often show the behaviour of drug addicts. hope is a drug. 13) Irrational and monstrous goals are better than small ones. It inspires teams to win and even risk their lives for it. 14) Religion and Politics are inseparable. 15) Wearing uniforms allows people to lose their identity and become one with the commune. 16) Religious leaders always speak slowly and with unshaken confidence. Even when they utter crap. 17) Education attempts but doesn't guarantee rationality. 18) Cheering and applause can make people do most heinous tasks without guilt. Guilt is relative to people's social surrounding. 19) Legal system is not absolute, it often follows popular opinion. 20) People seek both social identity and personal identity at different intensities at different stages of life. 21) never mess with Seela.

It's all simply mental gymnastics to try justify a spiritual path that still has sex enjoyment because it tries to dilute the fact you're still indulging in the sense enjoyment of I , me and mine. It's actually an oxymoron to have spiritual life with sex life unless it's for begetting a child with your partner to raise also in spiritual practice that is fine. When I lived in hare krishna temple in Florence Italy , I got to a point where I didn't even play with myself ( if you know what I mean ) for 2 years and my devotion to the chanting, reading and prayers and singing in front of radha krishna dieties was very attentive until I hit a low and stumbled on my full celibacy for a few days , all of sudden my mind and body changed again and had little desire to chant , read and sing in the temple room as enthusiastically at 4:30 in the morning as expected . After abstaining again within a week or so I felt my strength returning again. As to speak of enjoying your partner and being overly liberal with your hands too much on each other like I see in the documentary whilst simultaneously pretending to be focused on spirutal practice The material world isn't programmed like that ,you do one or the other not try both together

When the orange people were established in Oregan it got pretty crazy. When the Guru would arrive there in his Rolls Royce there were a number of armed guards, and they were carrying Military assault weapons. On top of that, they had a helicopter scoping the area at low altitude with a sniper prepared to take anyone out if there was any threat whatsoever. I saw an interview of the Guru's secretary Sheela and she said that they would without any hesitation take any threat out, and that their guards and sniper were highly experienced and would only need one shot. Secondly she said that if necessary she would do the same. She ended up being sentenced to 20 years for attempted murder and other charges, however got parole after about 3 and a half years from memory

@@lavanya_sanatani oh stfu. That's the problem with you. No one heard about him, the documentary NEVER had him talk about his teachings, and they focused on the crimes of SHEELA while trying to pin it on Osho. The documentary was a piece of shit hit piece by a bunch of looney, fire and brimstone, zealous Christians hicks who lived there prior to the Rajneeshes moving in. Look up his videos. He has THOUSANDS of hours of talks. The man is NOT what this shitty documentary made him out to be.

JOE, this was not an amazing documentary, it was a very very biased documentary. It should have tipped you off when you were 4 episodes in as you said, and you never heard Osho speak at least once. All the nonsense from Sheila and not even 30 sec of Osho. Anyone else here thinks this documentary was very biased?

Erm... he went into a self-imposed silence and the Rajneesh media frenzy happened during this time period. Wtf did you expect the documenters to do? I think they were pretty clear that it was Sheela coordinating all the messed up stuff. Osho's involvement in all the shady stuff is still a mystery and the documentary never suggested otherwise. Also, there's more than 30 secs of tape of him after he breaks his silence being either generally unpleasant or uttering bland, platitudinous shite

Y'all are pretty much discussing 'how to structure a society' from the ground up... having something like 'the constitution' that has basic guidelines: consider it holy and to never be abolished, and follow it. Just basic protections and assurances so that it doesn't become run horribly, but when it is ignored (like our US Constitution) problems tend to arise. It was 'the 10 commandments' back in the day. Just a 'Town Rules' lol
