One important thing to add: It's a huge difference WHEN you shave your had and when you have hair loss. Early twenties vs early thirties/fourties is completely different: In early 20 a shaved head makes look you older and more masculine in a perceived not positve way (but this perception is only subjective). But in early 40 a shaved had might look even bettern than with hair and/or you care less. If you ask 20 year olds about a free hairtarnsplant 100% will do it. If you ask 40 years old, maybe 50% will only do it. I know lot of man, that are happy with their situation (having shaved their head). And even more important: I know many man (in their 30/40ies) who really look better without hair, respectively I know quite a lot of man who I think it would be better they whould shave their head insteaf of having such a bad/boring look. Having no hairs (when you are older) is OK when you are older.

Iv had a lot of compliments aswell for not giving a shit and sending it bald and focusing on my health and looking good via nutrition and exercise.
@jonnytheponny57534 жыл бұрын
@@whitelightning2077 Hi, you are right of course. There is no 100% for anything... I absolutely like the look shaved heads and I know many (woman and men) who do too. Hairs mostly look more feminine and shaved head looks more masculine. I think in younger years (woman/men) tend to prever this more feminine style. But I strongly believe that with age, the more masculine style gets more and more attractive. And I like your attitude, shaving looks (for men) in most cases ten times better then any boring haircut. And most men do have boring haircuts (even if they have full hair), and would be better off with shaving. So keep your head shaved it makes you special and attractive.

I am a bald guy and it upset the hell out of me when I started to loose my hair at 21. I shaved my head with a trimmer at 30 and it was a big relief. Luckily my head is a reasonable shape and the look didn’t freak me out. This is what I have found lessened the blow. Get some sun or use a little fake tan to give yourself a healthier colour and prevent yourself from looking washed out. Smarten up your dress sense by buying clothes that fit you properly giving the impression that your more in shape. Nice shirts can make a massive difference with a decent pair of jeans. Affordable nice clothes and shoes make you feel more confident. Try and stay in reasonable shape and not let the weight creep on. I don't get it though, hair or no hair it didn't effect my confidence, or dating. Bottom line, one thing every straight male has to realize is that it doesn't matter how much 'game' you have, hair, clothes, money etc... Those things do help to an extent, but at the end of the day, she's going to like who she likes and that's the bottom line. So if she doesn't like you and you're bald, chances are she wasn't going to like you with a full head of hair. It's not the end of the world and in fact I had better success with younger females because they perceive you as being more mature (plus younger females have daddy issues, use it to your advantage) anyway happy hunting if that's your goal.

But I agree with you regarding being bombarded with bullshit repeatedly, something that wasn't as relevant 20+years ago and I blame internet and social media for it. Truthfully, It is simply just confidence. Have you ever noticed that every bald guy that is attractive (as long as his face is somewhat average) confidence is the thing that actually makes that person attractive. A person with swag and confidence You don't even notice that they're bald. It's not the thing that defines them. And that is most of it. 90% of people that are balding that are not attractive are the people who let their baldness define them. They walk around with their heads down and defeated. The more that you care about your hair loss the more other people would care about your hair loss. This is not just psychological mumbo jumbo. Again, What is the main difference between all those people that are bald that look awesome. Is it really their face shape or is it the way they carry themselves? And just so you know, I'm preaching to myself as well. I have not completely mastered this. But, having a top level physique does help:)

Did you think that 5k or even 6k, 7k is not enough to cover a scalp? Specialist says that 30 to 40 grafts is good for coverage, the scalp is 150 cm2, so you need 4500 to 6000 grafts for a good coverage. But the nature of your hair is also important
@letsgethair4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, that´s the thing bro - the nature of your hair. I already responded to your second comment which mainly refers to hair per graft average and also made a video about hair per graft average last week so you can check it out. 6000 grafts wouldn´t be so bad if all 6000 would be triple grafts yielding 18000 hairs all together but what if from the 6000 grafts 2400 are just singles and 2400 are doubles and only 1200 are triples which is not unrealistic at all by guys with average or below average donor. This makes it only 10,800 hairs - transection rate (especially by the FUE)....

@letsgethair4 жыл бұрын
In theory it makes sense but: 1. Skilled doctors who are able to do a successful closure of even 3000+ strip are rare nowadays is and their number is decreasing dramatically every year because they are switching to FUE. 5000 would be just crazy and hazardous to do by most people. 2. 99% of guys interested in a HT would never undergo this anyways
@user-do5tp1wv3q4 жыл бұрын
MATTDOMINANCE sorry for the confusion. What i meant was there are doctors in the US that will do two large fut cases of 2500 each. Totaling 5000 after the two procedures. Then you can harvest a little more Fue grafts. This allows you to maximize your donor area and achieve coverage from front to back. You won’t run into a scenario where you have a bald spot and no donor left to cover it.

It's very simple man! They take the hair folicules from the back of the head and put them on the front of the head. So yes the donor hair does grow back but on the front of the head, where it was transplanted. And therefor, no, it does not grow back on the donor region because the folicule is not there anymore. That's why you can't do unlimited surgeries, you would end up with hair on the top of the head and bald on the back of the head, which is even weirder than just being bald

I’m also thinking I’ll have to completely shave my head when I’m 45 or something, although I’m hoping by then even better methods will be available for adding extra hair

Matt I need a suggestion, I have very good quality leg hairs and chest hair and in ample quantity. I am 26 and by seeing the condition of hair it seems that I will be grade 4A in 2-3 years. After ten years or sooner, can I use this leg hairs and chest hairs to be transplanted on scalp, hence cut it to buzz look with SMP and long beard to have manly look?
@kwt2000trucker4 жыл бұрын
just shave your head, keep your leg and chest hair, grow a full beard, and you will save thousands of dollars that a transplant and ridiculous SMP cost. A hair transplant has the risk of not working at all, many of the transplanted hairs fall off and never grow back and the area where they extracted those hairs, NOTHING grows there, ending up with tiny bald dots and possibly tiny scars.

Lots of guys with hair just end up looking vain with hair. Showing their mops off where most of the attention is and not on their face but on their hair. They just look like ugly peacocks with great hair. With no hair, you don't have to worry about losing it or maintaining it all the time. You've simplified your life a little. That i want to get the girl i like i totally felt that. Till 22 i was fire, i had almost every girl i wanted, i had a spark, i had choices, i was happy and motivated to go on with my life and i was always the optimistic type of guy. I had a mun bun till my 24 but i had signs of balding, didnt know the degree of that cause of the long hair but i had slight recesion to the temples so i guessed the problem was only on the front. Nope, i was losing the back and i couldnt notice it cause of my long hair. With the man bun i was still confident, not like my 20 year old self but still enough to feel like myself. When i shaved it it went downhill. I am 26 and now i see the problem, my hair are so thin. I had a girlfriend this year, we broke up recently, but she was nowhere near the girls i had before, i was never in love, i was probably just insecure of my balding like i am in a rush to find a girl cause i will die alone otherwise and i stayed for so long in a toxic relatioship. My love life went downhill compared to 2-4 years ago. I knew i was good looking with hair, i felt that way, i know i am ugly now, everybody is pointing it at me and i see that myself, i have a huge forhead now, i look like 40+ and in a really bad way. Girls i knew they liked me back then run to me now in the street and i can see the look they give me, i am the same guy inside but society is cruell to me. I am not even having the chance to flirt anymore, its a disaster. I am so young on my best years as they say and somehow this years are the worst of my life. I lost interest in everything i had, my life seems pointless. Like i am working coming back from work, playing the sport i love but even that feels pointless now, coming back home, put minoxidil on my head hoping for a miracle to happen and the next day same situation. It sucks big time for real. Hair loss is a big issue, might not be fatal, but destroys your life and makes you lose the spark, girls are not even bother talking to you because of that. Its cruel. Its just hair if you are 40-50 etc where affects mostly all men and its considered normal, in your 20's or even early 30's its just a curse from the god himself.

Hello Matt why did you say you were not a good candidate? You had not enough hair in your donor zone? The average donor zone is between 6k to 8k some even 10k
@letsgethair4 жыл бұрын
Ture, 6-8k grafts with multiple strips or strip/FUE combination is possible to extract but this won´t be enough long term, if a guy gets his 1st transplant in his 20s with a fairly low positioned hairline and then turns into a NW7 20 years later...Extracting 10k grafts without over-harvesting is definitely not an average donor in my opinion... I wasn´t the best candidate because my hair per graft average was "average" at best which means not as great hair coverage ability of my hair. Even if I had chosen strip for my 1st HT I would have ended up with only a slightly better graft yield overall as opposed to FUE and then needed additional FUE to implant the hair back into the scar. Fortunately the hair/skin contrast is pretty good by me so even by lower implanted hair density it doesn´t look as bad.

Problem with transplants in most cases is age. If you get a transplant when you're in your late 20's, to 30's...........you have not finished losing your hair. After 40 into your 50's you have lost about as much hair as you're going to lose. In other words if you transplant a follicle whose due date if 35 years old,,,,,,,,that transplanted hair will fall out and not be replaced. Hair transplants are not for people under 40 years old. You may end up transplanting ( some) hair that will go bald/fall out if you have this procedure when you're young and still losing hair.
@hairtransplantrealcom4 жыл бұрын
The long term math for most guys will not add up plain and simple. Those that do not give the long term number to prospective patients are committing marketing fraud. The other big issue with hair transplants is you are taking a thicker caliber hair that is often darker in color and placing it into the hairline zone which is often made up of hair 3-4 times thinner in caliber while also being more translucent in color. Thick caliber hairs in the hairline look odd which is why people that sign up for this procedure often have people staring at their hairline. For many young men shaving it off will not be an option. They will have white dot scarring all over or a giant strip scar in the back if they signed up for that procedure.
