Joe Rokocoko - The Rocket Man

Joe Rokocoko was an awesome rugby player. I thought his All Black career would last longer than it did, but boy, what an impact he made in international rugby. He scored a staggering 46 test tries in 68 tests for the All Blacks and plenty more for the the Blues in Super Rugby before moving to France in 2011.
We had plenty of fun digging up this footage and we hope you enjoy this tribute to an All Black legend.

Joey's on my all time dream team , apart from Cullen , no one matches the share beauty of watching him run at full pace with those magical dives over the try line when it seems like he's in the air for 5 seconds lol. Love ya Rocket man!.

Appreciate the footage is older and the game has changed but I feel its still so vital to have midfielders that can do it all i.e. Mauger/Tana and a back 3 who are hungry i.e. Howlett, Mils and Joe were so active. Shaun Stevenson is literally the only winger that reminds me of Joe. Still need to get the ABs backline sorted, right now its 'too safe'.

best winger at 11 and then the allblacks management change him to right wing to give sivivatu game time. If Joe was retained at his most lethal number 11 then he would have been on a record try scoring spree. then a poor blues team hardly could get the ball to the wingers and Joe said enough
