I've been a Joe Walsh fan for many years as a matter of fact since the first time I heard The James Gang. I think he's one of America's greatest song writers. Lyrics that grab that something inside your very soul.

Perfect!!!! Nothing more said for a true Joe Walsh fan. This will be in my "bucket list" of music.

That guy doesn't sing the same melody twice I think, but it gets more interesting then... A great guy all alone with his guitar... beautiful!

Nice treat - an acoustic version of one of my faves. Dreamy lyrics. Classic LP - quite a range of styles - not a bad song on it.

I absolutely love this song! I would sell a kidney if I could make my Acoustic guitar sound 1/3 as good as you can. Merry Christmas, Joe!

According to my Joe Walsh look what I did Song Book He uses Drop A Tuning for Guitars 4 and 5. gives it that full sound. One of my favories from Joe W.

Thanks for posting! I love this song, it's one of my favorites! Enjoyed seeing it unplugged for a change, although I enjoy it the most electric and jamming.

@littlegelland Actually it's pretty much the same melody, just a lower key to suit his current vocal range. Have you seen the live version from '75. That one is SICK! Same version as on the live album You Can't Argue With A Sick Mind.

About 2:30 he plays some chords from another song on that fantastic album. Is it "Wolf"? So much great instrumental art on Smoker.

I always wondered why Joe joined the Eagles when he had a most unique solo career. This song is so special. Why would he want to take on all the songs from another artist when he has his own? Never understood it.
