Thank you for reacting again to Dimash. The people being flashed repeatedly played an important part in the competition. Those people were either part of the audience or fellow contestants. The 500 individuals composing the audience who underwent a rigid selection process also acted as the judges in the said competition. They are all into music.

In that competition he was a wildcard entry and before his first performance they announced to the audience to make him feel welcome. He came out and did SOS, and the reactions of the audience and the other competitors was priceless. Before that performance he was an virtual unknown able to explore hid surroundings with no impediment, to instantly having hundreds of million fans swamping everywhere he goes.

Not sure if you realized that this was a soundtrack for an Italian movie. The funny thing is when the Italian director and composer were showing him what the song was to sound like, they needed 3 singers to sing the song!!! This just gives you yet another reality check of how expansive Dimash's range is. Most as Dimash is, he doesn't like to discuss his range. If I interpreted his interview correctly, despite what many judgy people think, Dimash chooses his notes and composition based on the feelings he experiences when he hears the song and the emotion he wants to convey to the audience. It's not about showing off. With that said, I'd really like singers and performers to think - if you had the vocal mastery, perfect pitch, stage presence and the ability to sing almost any note you wanted, AND you were trying to break into this industry throughout the world, what notes would you choose? Honestly, would you not sing a high not, or an extremely accurate vocal riff when you believed it was how you wanted to convey the emotion of the song? Would you hold yourself back? Truly think about that before you judge him again.

They were other contestants the singer is a competition but with established famous singers. Someone backed out so Dimash was a fill in wild card He didn’t know any Chinese so it was very difficult for him to be away from home and not really be able to communicate but he made several lifetime friends who’s he’s actually sang duets with. Dimash had the highest points but came in second because at that time only a Chinese singer could win. That have since changed that. Thank you for introducing Dimash to so many people

Hi Joel, Perhaps others have mentioned it but Dimash has upped his game beyond anything you have seen and shared thus far. If you want a guaranteed "blown away" reaction from any of the friends with whom you are sharing Dimash, you might want to watch and share, "El Amor En Ti," which was performed for the first time at his sold out stadium concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan last September. From what I am hearing from others, the creativity of that performance has never been matched.

Welcome to Dimash world! You haven’t seen anything jet!!! This is about 1/3 or so what he can do! This was the competion "I am a Singer" from China. Down low more about that!! Yepp higher then the piano can go!!!) It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him. Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English). Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night. Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to. He actually came in second place if you can believe it. Considering he was competing in China and all of the other contestants were from China, second place was very honorable and it opened him up to the world. I believe Dimash was only about 22 when this took place.

The folk back stage are well known, established singers, who compete against each other. Imagine Freddie Mercury competing against David Bowie, George Michael, Steven Tyler, Elton John...... Those Competitors are either big famous stars in Asia, or young rising stars. The guy with the long hair is LeeQ (multi instrumentalist, amazing guitarist and Pianist, who was in the band Lion on that show).And... Dimash didn't win. 😳 Such uproar, that next year they pushed for Jessie J to win... although many feel Hua Chenyu should have won. (Genius who sings Rock/Metal, Rap, Reggae 😂 Pop, SynthPop, Electronic, Broadway, Traditional Chinese. (Check out his "God Tree" or "Here we are" from his 2023 Mars Concerts. 😳

I fell down the stairs when I was 7. Sadly no one was filming or understood that it was a stunt so I only got the standing ovation of people jumping out if their seats to run to me because they thought I was seriously hurt [I wasn't. I was laughing the whole way down because day-time television had taught me that I probably looked really dumb and funny in that moment 🤨. Although it wasn't actually intentional ^^' - my aunt loves that story so I hear it at least ones a year. She tells me that's when she knew I was completely bonkers and not quite right in the head.] But I'll be looking out for that when watching that movie! The other people in the back area are the other contestants on the show that are also professional singers. [FOR CONTEXT: If you want to be on this show you have to be a successful/professional singer.] The people in the audience are a max of 500 people with a few special audience members who are of a music background and are known industry leaders in Chinese Music. The performance of each performer is rated by the 500 audience. The downside to this idea is that all of the people that are performing are from China and have performed in China, so they have a natural home-field advantage with people already having pre-dispositions towards them, to vote for them. Dimash is the only contestant that is not from China, and the first in the shows history to be from outside of China. He ends up coming 2nd. I watched the whole show and all the other performances. Dimash's version of Up town Funk was probably his worst performance, and he had 1 or 2 others that were not 100%. One's he excelled at were Adagio, SOS, Opera2 and Diva Dance, but I felt that "The Show Must Go On" could have been voted higher. He performed songs in Chinese, French, English, Russian, Kazakh & in many different styles. His competitor who won" Sandy Lam" had one style and one type of singing ability, she was very smooth and on point with her songs throughout, but showed no growth or range in her abilities. I feel she only won because of the aforementioned predisposition towards her before the show started. I Hope this somewhat explains the show and Dimash's involvement in it.
