@@smrriti07I agree, the Autumn Strong version from Arnau tour (in red suit) is my favorite too. It has a more melancholic feel to it...with more of an ambiance of loss and autumn 😢🎼💕 I feel that one of the amazing things about Dimash's music (out of many) is that each of his versions of various songs are a little different...but beautiful in their own way❣ He has all these tools and skills in his repertoire...and utilizes them to convey what and as he wants to in that particular performance 🥰🎶🌷

I know one reactor who has done many (many!) reactions to Dimash. He is trained singer himself. What I appreciate by him is, that he does not keep in secret, that the reason (!) why he has done that is TECHNIQUE of singing (he is eager to learn). That is for me very telling. -- My personal opinion is: maybe one day Dimash becomes really good or very good singer. Right now he is far of that. Singing technique is - although it is tough to learn - the easiest thing to learn. To sing, act and create artistry by singing is much, much harder. Two remarks after listening some version of this song by him (Arnau tour too). 1. His singing is mostly about to hit notes, which he does very well and that creates an impression as if he sings very well either (he has beautiful voice indeed) . 2. There is no inner growth by singing (F.e. from low to high), which happens when one understands the message of the song. Instead of that it is just a manner of presentation of the song (so something external), which he has obviously borrowed from Lara Fabian (for her this inner growth by singing is not just a manner). So, maybe he is a) too young for that b) he is male singer c) usually classically trained singers perform pop-songs poorly (that is what I hear by him too) d) he does not get it at all. The song itself is beautiful with meaningful lyrics.

Every time DIMASH sings Autumn Strong different at his concerts. I love very much his version in Kiev (Arnau). Check it, please. You will like it. DIMASH is the best artist in the world!!!

This song was magical to me seven years ago and it still is today. The Singer competition was amazing . Still can not explain why I was glued to the screen even though I could not understand word of Chinese...lol...later on when they added subtitles I re-watched it all over again. I guess this is the magic of Dimash. Thanks for another great analysis.

I think it may be maturity that makes the difference between Autumn Strong and Ikanaide. Dimash was several years older when he recorded Ikanaide, his voice had matured but he was now a man, an exceptional man whom I adore.

I think the two performances demonstrate how he's always studying new techniques and exploring all aspects of his vocal ability. There was a little clip from backstage where he was seen worrying about his Chinese pronunciation because it was his first time singing in Chinese. I think we could see from the faces in the audience that he pulled it off brilliantly.

I feel that in Ikanaide, Dimash is a much more seasoned and mature singer and knows the song well by now - added many nuances and dynamics - as well as he’s in his own studio and could arrange and control everything. In Autumn strong he’s still a kid, basically, albeit an extremely gifted and talented one! Loved your reaction! 💞

keep in mind that Autumn Strong was sang in chinese language that Dimash did not know, and it was sang in China for chinese language. so he took a risk

I understand that this performance was the first time Dimash had sung in Mandarin. A fluent Chinese speaker said he couldn't believe how well Dimash pronounced the lyrics that it was 99% accurate and the best version he had ever heard. Because of this performance Dimash became a superstar in China and went on to live there for 3 years. Now he is the first choice for many major events and check out the song "Jasmine" which he has sung to welcome in the Chinese New Year 3 consecutive years.

I think it's just natural that he would have a freer interpretation of the same song many years later. Also, the Chinese version of this song would have been the one Dimash was probably learning from for this competition, since he had to learn the lyrics, and his phrasing might have been the same as that Chinese popular song that the audience (who were the judges) would have been familiar with. Then he would have been referring to the original Japanese version for "Ikanaide".

@@beewilson922 Yes, and that's why I was saying that Dimash wouldn't have been learning from the Japanese original, but that comparisons in phrasing and any note differences should probably be made to the 2004 Mandarin version by Jacky Cheung, which the audience was familiar with.

@@SirHairless да, я помню ещё одних таких же. два друга-музыканта были. вообще, у них были довольно интересные и эмоциональные реакции, но в какой-то момент они исчерпали себя и так и сказали, что не могут бесконечно удивляться ему. особенно после того, как услышали его в свистковом регистре. и как бы круто он не пел, у них возникает одна и та же реакция, типа, ну да, это Димаш, он так может. и даже круче может. и никто кроме него так не может. и даже непонятно КАК он так может, но, всё равно, от него это ожидаемо. короче, передоз у них случился. и на мой взгляд, они правильно сделали, что перестали делать на него реакции. ибо нет ничего грустнее скучной реакции на Димаша с бессмысленными возгласами "спичлесс", "инкредибл", "фрикнесс" и т.п. и какими-то утрированно-гипертрофироваными мимикой и жестикуляцией.

El público y los competidores no podían creer que Dimash, se atreviera a interpretar una canción icónica en China, y que tuviera tan pocos errores ( únicamente tuvo una semana para aprenderla ) de pronunciación y que su interpretación llegaría a los niveles que llegó. ¡ Gracias por el análisis, la reacción y la emoción que demuestras !

эту песню в исполнении Димаша впервые услышал на Сингере и прослушала с 21.00 до 9.00 без перерыва,не могла остановиться, наслаждалась и не устала,хотя не спала всю ночь,слезы текли как вода непроизвольно. С этого момента стала фанатом Димаша. Спасибо вам за реакцию.

The Chinese lyrics are really beautiful and not expressed in the English version adequately. For example “Autumn strong” the Chinese can be translated as “the essence/feeling of autumn is strong”as in strong coffee. Thank you for another great reaction and comparison to the Japanese version ❤ and BTW Dimash’s Chinese in the song is so good, amazing this was his first in Chinese.

They are probably wonderful in Chinese but I don’t speak it so even if some words are lost in translation, at least I can understand what the song is about. I am grateful to you for explaining the differences. Probably whoever translated this didn’t know how like you do! Thank you! It really doesn’t matter what language Dimash sings in , it’s always beautiful.

Hi Sir, even for those who don't know: Dimash exploded worldwide in the 'the singer' competition between November 2017 and February 2018. With 11 songs, I believe that at that moment Dimash wanted to highlight the technical aspect a lot, also considering the fact that he was the first non-Chinese singer in that competition. Being to all intents and purposes out of competition, they did not allow him to win but rewarded him through critics' awards and by having him sing in concerts outside the competition. a hug from the Italian.

Thanks for the review of the first version of Ikanaide performed by Dimash. I like his early performances because I can see the emotions and reactions of other contestants and the audience. Some of them shed tears. So did I.
