there are some other recordings of live performances of this song where Su hands the mike to one of the others. An older one when Yui turned 15 (I believe) and another where Moa turned 20 and they sang the last parts of the song.

Great reaction, but as you have been told already, this video is a compilation of clips from 10 different concerts (I don't think you noticed the different stages and costumes ... but maybe that is just as well as you would have been wondering what was going on and how they were changing their clothes rather than listening to the song). There are single performance videos for 'Headbanger' that are safe to use (eg Legend I - the very first appearance of the Kami Band in 2012, Legend 1997, Budokan Black Night to name just three). 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday. 15 is significant in Japan as it marks the end of compulsory education, so the girl is also coming to terms with the fact life will never be the same, she will no longer be considered as a child and her first 15 years passed by so quickly - so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. In 2014 at shows on or near their own 15th birthdays Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for the second half of the song after Su handed them the mic and stand - Su took their place in the choreo. The same thing happened in 2019 at Legend M on Moa's 20th birthday (the official coming of age in Japan).

Look for the moabanger (2019) too, worth the reaction, and the One is expecting momobanger, hopefully this year! By the way, yuibanger is now available in 4k, if want to react to it too.

Well, I am seeing them live on September 15th. I can let you know then how it was. I just saw Hinjer for the first time last Saturday. They were awesome, though they were the first pf 3 bands so a short set. Now I need to see Nightwish then I can feel whole. It is thanks to reactors, such as yourself, that I ever found these bands, and they are by far. My 3 favorite bands out there. I still am not sure about my favorite song from any of them though.

Nothing compares to the Legend of 1997 show, except maybe Moabanger where we learned Moa can really sing.

As Jake mentioned below, you have to react to the original live performance of Headbanger from the Legend 1997 concert in 2013. It is by far the best live performance of the song in all aspects, including very good shots of the entire fan participation performance. As this is the story of a 15 year old girl going to her first metal concert, it is apt that this concert was held on the day after Su turned 16 years old, which has strong connotations in Japan regarding the approach of adulthood. And it's a great performance. This video from today was a compilation which, to me, takes a little away from the impact. Another cute one for you to react to is what they call the Moa Banger video, as it was her 20th birthday and Su turned the mike over to her to finish Headbanger. In fact, both Yui and Moa sang lead for Headbanger on their respective 15th birthdays. Put in BABYMETAL - Headbanger (Moa Banger version) and it will pop right up. It also has English subtitles so you will see the lyrics.

Headbanger has to be one of my absolute favourites, perfection in every aspect! I know you will react to the entire Babymetal discography, so I will suggest something else. Wagakki Band, formed in 2013, is a famous band and from what I've heard bigger than Babymetal in Japan. They're 8 incredibly talented musicians who came together to create a mix of traditional singing/instruments with modern rock/metal. As a drummer I think you will enjoy their use of both a drummer and percussionist. Very good reaction. The leader and singer of the group has been in music since 2007, she was born in 1997, so she has been singing since she was 10 years old... (probably since before, but I was referring to professionally) Babymetal has been around since 2010, since she was 13 years old she was the leader of the group. Personally I think that the merit is worth double coming from a country where women are so excluded and submissive, (Japan) this is incredible. Greetings from Argentina.
