oh man... I was laughing so out loud with you guys reacting to this. Cuz I remember when I was, I don't know, 14/15 seeing this on the dvd not believing on it. Joey was something different, not to mention Corey Taylor's voice at that age. They were monsters. Disasterpiece is a masterpiece.

Every Band or ...most Bands got that ...-once in a lifetime- concert. This is like Chris Woods said ....Slipknot at 1000% absolute raw no fucks given... Joey ( RIP 🥺 ) was on another level . Coreys Vocals are out of Hell .... always a pleasure to watch 🤟 Edit : not quite true what i said at the beginning .....Gojira is..... as far as i know the only Band you should always listen to live ....

The charisma, the speed, the efficiency, the accuracy, the strength, its power, the elegance, the details, the intention on playing, the reason why he hit that bell or that specific ‘tom’.. every element had their reason to be or not to be played on that moment…. Yes they hit him with water because he is going 1,000mph on those drums and he needed to be cooled off. His precision is unmatched and the fact that he can do that at such a high rate of speed is insane. I'm literally winded after watching this video and anytime i watch his drum cams i end up needing a break.

Great reactions! This is such an awesome song. Joey was a master in his craft truly legendary!! And he had the most coolest mask in my opinion out of all of them. There will never be anyone like him he was truly amazing, gifted, and down-to-earth. Rest in Peace Joey you left a great legacy!!!

man ive seen slipknot 4 times when joey was in the band at the time. and the energy was so intense. but when you hear joey live its omg and see him almost going upside down. your like omfg!!! i go in with a shirt and come out with no shirt. slipknot will always remain in my heart and same with joey

The rhythm of Joey's drumming looks so natural to him but bonkers to normal souls! So much hard work and dedication, he died from doing what Joey loved the most! Love you bro!

Had the Disasterpiece DVD... every friend i met for YEARS.. i had to show them the DVD at least once in our friendship.. MAINLY because of the camera work.. and being able to watch any of the members at all times during the whole concert was and still is one of coolest things a band has ever done ina DVD... specially this one.. RIP Joey Thanks for the memories!

Joey wasn't just the best metal drummer of all time but the GOAT drummer ever. People talk about John Bonham, Ginger Baker, Neil Peart, Cozy Powell, Buddy Rich etc but they're not in the same league as Joey. For someone like Joey who never had a drum lesson in his life & play drums so effortlessly and so quick, using both arms, legs, playing kick drums at ridiciulous speed and headbaning at same time is nothing short of phenomenal. Joey was small in stature but was an absolute Colossus on that kit. R.I.P. Joey, forever missed but never forgotten \m/

and all of that was with the AHEAD METAL drum sticks. they are about 3-4 times heavier than regular drum sticks.

You should Aquiles Priester play temple of hate. When he played this was with a band called Angra. The hole band is great. Infact Angra's old lead guitarist is now the playing lead for Megadeath. Aquiles is a machine, his stamina is unreal.

For me I did see them in 1999 Ozzfest, before Iowa came out they came through Florida. The black jumpsuits, is the hardest Slipknot Ever was. Corey screams from the pain inside and the torture each member had from making Iowa. I still see the band but that time was different and special. Paul and Joey playing together

It's still hard to believe Joey is part of the RIP but his legacy will live on. His drumming style opened doors to other genres of metal using blast beats and such that you normally wouldn't hear unless its Death,Black or Symphonic metal. As an commenter stated you should check out Aquiles Priester, a Brazilian metal drummer from a band Angra... he does some awesome drum covers and such, and if you do i suggest the drum cover of Dragonforce Through the Fire and Flames 🤘😎🤘
