Joey Votto is a heck of an entertainer. He has great ad lib skills. I hope he stays in the public view after retirement.

Wow, what a classy, entertaining, heartfelt, funny interview with my Reds crush & fellow Italian, Joey Vatto! Dan, I had the pleasure of meeting you 20+ years ago when I was co-hosting "Live with Regis." Not a sports nut but was happy to get a PG-13 shot in about the "Stanley Cup" story you were telling. My sports nut, hubby, and ace interviewer, Bob Goen, from Entertainment Tonight with Mary Hart, said this was the best interview he's ever seen. The REAL Joey Vatto. Fab. Thank you!!

Reds fans, you are so lucky to have this man. Thoughtful, honest, insightful, and hilarious. I really hope he comes back for another year. He’s the best part of baseball for me.

I can't handle Votto playing anywhere else. Never a bad interview and this one ranks up there.

I'm with you. I recall how shocked I was as a kid learning that Pete Rose was leaving the Reds to play for the Phillies.

We should clip together all these interviews with Dan and Mad Dog and send them to the Commissioner’s Office for his bid to the HOF. Forget playing baseball.

Thank God Votto switched this interview up, no way anybody wants to hear the scouting report about the Dodgers😂😴. After 162 games, we should all have an idea on these teams. This is why Joey is the man

This interview is the best✓ it's like Kramer talking Jerry out of marriage... It's a man-made prison.. . You're doing time... Lol

Great player - Super interview, and funny and awesome P.R. guy. All that said, Votto has been a .251 hitter since 2018, and a .231 hitter since 2020. He BARELY hit .200 this year - How bad a season must Votto have to call it a career??? His own Reds fan base is divided over his Retire or play another season decision.

I mean I have a car that will fit perfectly in the empty space in his garage and I never get mobbed at Starbucks. In fact they don't even spell my name correctly most of the time. Although I prefer Coffee Emporium.

bringing back joey votto for 24 is a no brainer, even if it's for the extra 13 millions(7 mill for the buyout, 20 mil if you keep him), the reds have only 1 other major league player who has a major league contract(hunter greene), the ultimate scenario would be to pay the buyout and then bring him for 2 to 3 million, that would save 10 million, the reds have BY FAR the best young talent for 2024, if 3 or 4 of the 5 of 6 starting pitchers can stay somewhat healthy, any thing short of a divsion or league championship in 24 would be a disappointment?
