I would say that they just love what they do, some do it for money for fame but some just really love beeing on their own field and not concentrating what kind of stereotyps and limitations someones trying to put on their thinking.

I think he had sub 2:17 under him if he picked up the pace to close, but he was pretty chill about that finish. I was tying up at the end of my marathon but found some power for the last 400m

But at 2:17 pace which is sub 5:15 per mile pace odds are he did not have much remaining. Pretty hard to push when you know you're about to finish 26.2 miles and you're already winning.

Look at that nasty hill at the end! Just racing against himself after mile 12 is pretty incredible.

yes thats very... Anyway at least this probabbly will gain my motivation at least for today. Have to go for some long walk and at least 5-8K workout. 28 of march i am going to run 6 hour relay with my mother. She never liked to run on flat surface so i said OK! Than run uphills only, and yes last 4 or 5 years she actually manage to be consistent at it. :)

I started running when I lived in Austin Texas. My first ever race was the 1999 Austin American Statesman 10K run which was held in early April. I than ran a few 5K races and ran in the turkey trot Thanksgiving race. However, I found Austin and central Texas to be too torrid, too humid which made it hard for me to improve my performance. I moved out of Austin in April 2001 and moved back home to Buffalo which has a pleasant four season climate which is perfect for running although the summers are warm and humid but mild compared to Texas. I dont miss running in Austin and I dont miss living in the Texas capital. I enjoy running here in my native Buffalo especially during the spring and fall. Western New York is just a much more comfortable place to run races of varied distances. I ran in the 2008 Niagara Falls International Marathon which was my first ever full marathon however my time sucked but running a full marathon for the first time you dont expect to do extremely well. Unfortunately I havent ran a full marathon since 2008. I dont know if I want to attempt another full marathon.

It's funny because even kenyans living in Mexico for years can get visa very easy. I personally know about a few folks from Kenya, the guy from the embassy looks a skinny very fit Kenyan with evidence for competing in races, and give him an instant visa with big smile and a pair of shoes... ja ja, well, last part isn't true but you can get my point.
