Joey saved my life many times, but one podcast in particular he did a few years back around the holidays he was talking about his feelings about the holidays and losing his mom and being lonely.. His words that day helped me unload the weapon that I was ready to make myself expire with. I think this fuckin savage has saved a lot of us. Church fam will always remember what he did for us. ❤

@bLaCk I agree tbh. The Joint never felt the same to me but I loved and respected the fact that he was still podcasting. Glad he's finally being honest about podcasting not being the same anymore. There are THOUSANDS OF HOURS of Uncle Joey's podcasting out there now if not 10S OF THOUSANDS. It's not just this and The Church, but also JRE, The Honey Dew, and all his other guest appearances. It's crazy how much podcasting he's done in the last 12 years. I think it's done, Joey, it's okay. You don't have to do this anymore if you don't want to cause you gotta spend time with your daughter as she's getting closer and closer to being a teenager and he knows that. He doesn't need to do this anymore, we have plenty of hours of podcasting and most of us probably haven't even heard all of it. Glad he's being honest about it now. Also glad the podcast isn't stopping forever, but just going on a break. But yeah doing it every week, sometimes twice a week, is old now. There are SO MANY stories out there that people can listen to now.😂🥰 We love you Uncle Joey, but we get it. Spend time with the fame for the next decade and podcast once in a while. Don't have to grind it anymore.

I learned this in a shroom trip. Actually now that I think of it, two shroom trips. Joey is really with it.. I was walking on a lake here in Wisconsin, thinking about all the darkness swallowing people I love, the draining toilette flush of muck, darkness, sadness, corruption. I was feeling this force so immensly I almost succumbed, droped to the ground and chosen to weep and curl. But instead I stepped out onto the lake. (this all took place at a park called Olin park). Once on the lake the sorrow-force lightened and I was face to face with the reality of me and this ice, which was melting, I was scared shitless at first. Then my scared, all fours walking turned to walking normally, which turned to running into slides, spins, pointing my hands out like stars. And on the other side I had this concept clear of what fuels me, maybe humans (us), a shove to do *something*. Another trip I had I had all my power taken from me. The energy I use to do everything, handle things, create, do, motivation, was set to zero. I wanted to stare and die and had not a point of will in the world to continue; why eat, why open my eyes, why do anything ever again? And I thought about the states of everything in my life, things seemed set up where I had not much to clean up, I was accepting a sort of death. Until I looked at my carpet and saw beings in the pattern of my carpet dancing, and pleading me to dance as well. Alone, in my living room, I unenthusiastic danced and the more I moved the more I again, like that other trip, was more in touch with what fuels me. A natural urge to *dance*. To create movement. Energy. The ability to do work. That phrase now makes sense to me... Love Joey, he's a smart one. It's fascinating he's old, a true old head.

Listening to Uncle Joey while waiting for my Monday morning train was required for me to start the week. Understanding you've been in the game for a while and have always preached growth. This is actually a great lesson for everyone. I know you may not read this but I/we really, really appreciate all the knowledge, laughs, insight, and stories throughout the years. Good luck to you Uncle Joey, and thank you again for everything!
