Except they ended up splitting up on the first floor, which allowed the main assailant to have direct access to the stairs and then access to the principal. They had a fatal funnel with the staircase that they could have taken advantage of. I get Tim's comments about them potentially setting a fire, but they already had backup on the way and I doubt that could have materialized before backup arrived.

I think their compatibility as partners was exactly why Grey didn't make Tim the TO for Nolan. Tim wouldn't have sat still for Grey's abuse and attempting to force Nolan out in the beginning.

@@jones2277 I don't think submissive is the right word at all. John knows when he should shut up and listen, most people who have lived that much life do. However, when he feels the need to make a counter point or disagree, he firmly makes those declarations. With all the TO's.

@@danielhaire6677 Honestly I think Nolan would've been fine with any of the TO's assigned to him. That being said, Chen needed Tim to kick her ass a bit and give her a reality check. She's too smart for her own good sometimes, and too nice. Same thing with Jackson. He needed Lopez. Bishop was a square, she'd have bounced his ass day 1, and Tim would've clashed with Jackson too much since Jackson thinks he already knows everything because his daddy told him so, but his Dad hasn't ridden patrol in 20+ years. Tim needs to be the font of wisdom, and Jackson constantly second guessing shit would drive him insane.

The two are badass in this show, but props for the hitman who took a bullet to the chest and didn't even fall over, just mentions "ouch" even with a vest.

I love the bosses roll to the eyes on that. She allowed them to enter. They wanted to give her a chance to come forward on her own. If she declined to a search or even just answering questions, there isn't much they would've been able to do. I think they just wanted to see if she'd be willing to do the right thing.

I love how Nolan leads the hitman on by asking how much he’s willing to pay them to walk away and Bradford never once bats an eye. That speaks volumes for Bradford’s respect for Nolan.

Nathan Fillion is a BRILLIANT ACTOR. His calm and smooth delivery just has so much AUTHORITY but also smooth and calming effect. He can delivery any line and either make it profound or comedic. I think there are few actors in Hollywood who can speak like Fillion, especially in this sort of 'peacemaker' role.

Man this show is wild. Even if you’re wearing a bulletproof vest, you would still absolutely feel getting shot in the chest. Could easily end up with some broken ribs. Certainly doesn’t stand to reason the guy would just stand there and barely even notice.
