That is quite true. Unfortunately, you pick the brains of those same people who get emotional about the message of this song, many will probably tell you that they want zero environmental regulations to protect said lands. At the same time, you get their tears and emotions. Of course, their little feelings mean nothing if they are not men and women of action. They think it’s a liberal thing to protect our environment. It shouldn’t be left and right. Protecting our habitat should be something we all strive to do.

I respect that. I'm a metal head at heart but if it's a good jam I dig it regardless of genre

Been a metal fan since I heard Master of Puppets as a 12 year old in 96', and also like the more extreme Death metal stuff as well, like Death, Obituary, Cannibal, etc. In fact the only concerts I've been to were Death metal concerts. But I love this type of music just as much, for the exact opposite reasons. Don't get me wrong, I like the violence and anger of thrash/death metal. But I was raised in the country, and still work and live there too (i'm a logger) I like the relaxed heartfelt beat of this type of music, it just soothes the soul IMO.

Fuck yeah, Most metal heads appreciate real music. I noticed that early on in Lansing. The metal guys used to get wild when my band played classic rock and country. Like.. I couldn't believe how much they dig it.

Real Music Dennis ...... Death Metal is just "noise done real fast" .... I mean you guys are super talented and know your licks , but songs like Seminole Wind and Edmond Fitzgerald are real music with powerful storylines .... Just because someone is "fast and furious" does NOT mean they are a "musician" .... THIS is "music"

I was a bouncer at Fillies" Saloon in West Palm when John came for a show and played this song for the first time outside of his studio. The best show out of many at Fillies" along with The Outlaws, tied for 1st place.

Never get tired of listening to this song. The words hold true more than ever. I live in Naples, Fl. Not to far from the Everglades The growth of “progress” is really destroying the Everglades. 😢.
