While the Peasants' or Great Revolt of 1381 was sparked by an attempt to collect taxes in Essex, its underlying causes went much deeper, to a sense of natural justice, as articulated here in John Ball's sermon.
Performed by Andrew David.

Yes it does. Nothing much has changed that much other then they are much richer and we are less poor.

@@TechTins_Projects John Ball was hanged, drawn and quartered for his troubles. You don't see too much of that sort of carry on these days. A sense of proportion based on a modest knowledge of history wouldn't go amiss.

Inequality today is orders of magnitude greater than it was in 1381. The billionaire is an entirely modern phenomenon. John Ball wouldnt be impressed.

Compare to economic and financial disparities today. People with low-paying jobs or jobs that are difficult physically are toiling and laboring, and do they get much compensation for it? Who would a John Ball of today be? In the USA, would it be Bernie Sanders? Of course there is a higher degree of globalization today, which wasn't on the planet nearly in the same way or to the same level I would think in 1381.

How many people believe in or can fathom the Adam and Eve reference (0:41). Of course, compare to modern science. Did people just believe in the Adam and Eve reference at the time? Are there some people who still try to believe in that?

Nobody is as enlightened as you and everyone who ever lived is more stupid than you are. Please, give us more of your amazing insight and knowledge.

Yes they did. But even the few intelligent atheists that were living then, would also reason that all humans must have had a common ancestor. As that is pure logic.
