It's amazing how intricate the yin/yang counter spiral can get with a mere shift in intention. Once this in your muscle memory you become an iron helix capable of 720 degree change. Wow. Thanks again!

blimey , this is great stuff. I always wondered about how you actually did short power strikes. Cheers.

hi Paul, thanks for the comment. I try to get my students to identify where their power generates from, and then progressively move that point deeper and deeper into their body -- the tailbone being the most ideal

This was a little bit funny, especially the boxing dude, at the front end, pulling back his punches. I wouldn't recommend that exercise although the principle of GRF and muscle balancing is sound. There's no pull back in Pakua without a reason, is there..? The Martha Graham lady was most interesting for her point on Martha Graham.

Thanks for the comment, we appreciate it! I believe the "boxing dude" you refer to isn't "pulling his punches," but purposely training his rib cage /intercostal muscles to engage more. Hit me up at admin@chiarts.com if you would like me to send you 4 or 5 pages on this. The exercise increases striking power very quickly -- it is based on changing power from exclusively shoulders (normal tendency) to more rib cage. regards, Sean

@@ChiArtsAssociation The idea of counterforce in the body is also found in certain styles of Okinawan karate. It's a punch with a pull. I like your exercises very much and find the, compatible with my own ideas. Thanks for uploading.

thanks for the comment. You are right. the tech guy who was working w the site has done a terrible job. the current one was supposed to be temporary after Russians hacked the old site. We have recently hired a professional company who is building a new site you will like. Please keep those comments coming. If you send your email to me admin@chi-arts.com , I will send you an unlisted video of Liang kequan teaching someone the finer points of San Ti Shr . peace. Ryan
