Great review Anthony, almost wished I'd held out for 2 years. I bought a 3E in 2017. The D wasn't available then. I prefer a manual geared transmission. Hydrostatic is OK but geared tractors have been around forever.

Thinking a out purchasing tomorrow. As of today, how do you feel about the 3035D

I like it but it would not be a tractor for me. I do a lot of loader work and it is just too much shifting for my application

The pto is a no go for me. Its seems totally backwards to me that a geared tractor you would put a pto that's stops when you clutch. When most other tractors have a independent pto or two stage clutch. Having your implement start or stop everytime you push the clutch to stop or change gears is just more wear and tear. Especially on implements like brush hogs where you dont want to just stop the pto first before you stop. You want to stop the tractor first and let the brush hog clear out before turning it off. Also if your tilling the garden and need to stop for some reason your tines are going to just come to a stop while still in the dirt. You would have to always remember to lift the tiller before coming to a stop. Then when starting it up again your tractor will have to be in motion before you drop the tiller down or else you'll be starting it in the dirt. If your blowing snow you will be going forward and as you push the clutch in to stop, the blower will turn off while still completely filled with snow, cause you weren't able to stop and let it blow out first. I just really dont understand why they did that. I literally can not think of a single advantage except maybe cost cheaper to produce.

You are correct it was all based on price. There are other brands priced less expensive than the e series hydrostatic but they as well have that live PTO.

@@anthonyallen1961 Another thing is it's not live PTO, it's transmission PTO. An archaic form of PTO that nobody on the planet wants or can use in this day in age.

Question when you don’t have an attachment hooked up do you have problems with your lift arms not dropping?
@rey27073 жыл бұрын
That would most likely be an adjustment on the drop valve. I don’t remember exactly where it is on this tractor, but it will either be a round black knob or a small tee handle. Usually located below or under the seat. This allows you you adjust how slow or fast the hitch drops. If cranked all the way it will also hold the hitch in the up position. Check in your operator’s manual for where it is on your model tractor

I know all that I was just wondering if when you moved the lift arms WITHOUT an attachment if the moved up and down I’m told different things on the matter. Thanks for answering
@rey27073 жыл бұрын
@@oklahomachris6298 yes they will move up and down without an attachment. If it doesn’t go down most likely that valve it turned too high. The down direction is all gravity, it does not have hydraulic power to lower

Ok I’ll mess with it more but all the way negative won’t allow it to drop all the positive won’t let it drop dealer says it’s so new it just real tight

@@oklahomachris6298 maybe. Does it drop if you push down on it?

New tractor owner here, just got the 3035D, haven’t received it yet. Do have to use the clutch to go back and forth between forward and reverse? Or can you roll to a stop and slap the lever into reverse?
