Just enjoying all the projects we are getting done and savings some $ instead of hiring someone else to do it has been a huge payoff although receiving a commission from JD wouldn't be a bad idea! As for the plow, that has been a life saver. Thankful that our dealership had this set up for the tractor when we purchased it. Are you using your bucket to move snow around or something else?

Thanks for watching and the question @Wu Wade! When we purchased our JD 3038e from the dealership, they had the snow plow already set up to be used with our particular unit.

However when the tractor goes through its automatic regen process it is a little inconvenient as there is a reduction in power. I also considered a snow blower to put on the back to help with removing snow but the blade mounted on the front has been a great addition and so far it has done everything we needed it to.

Even on our 3038e a 7' blade is about maxed out so you are probably wise to look for something a little lighter/smaller. I hope to get a video in the coming weeks showing how the plow is connected to the tractor.

Thanks for watching and the question @Duck SP! From what I remember, the weight of the ballast box and the ballast inside (metal blanks from a local place) ends up being about an additional 1200lbs on the back end.

@@OurBigHouseintheLittleWoods looked like you were getting good traction. Just had my tires filled with about 600lbs. of fluid. Made a big difference for traction and lifting. But I'm thinking another 600 to 800 lbs of weight on the back is going to get me where I want to be. Thanks for the video. Nice to see other people's setups.
