John Deere CP770 and CP690 Picking South Georgia Cotton! SCOTT FARMS 2021 COTTON HARVEST DAY 3 PT3

In this video we catch Scott Farms out picking a field of cotton is the South Georgia community of Faceville. They are using a brand new 2021 John Deere CP770 and a CP690 six row, round module, cotton pickers to pick this nice field of cotton. This is picker number 13 off the line for the CP770. I am hoping it is lucky number 13 for their sakes. I have many videos of these pickers picking this field as it is the only cotton harvest video I got to film in 2021.

With these 'modules' these machines now make their seems to be a lot less waste even though there are strands of cotton all over the machine. The previous method of having to tip it all into a 'dump cart' and then into a module making machine, which had to be tractor operated by a man and then still hand covered, - to my mind they lost a lot more 'picked' cotton in that process. Even the 'picking' machines were absolutely smothered in the stuff to start with more than they are now. Good video, with some great 'close-up' shots.

There is much less waste also when the module trucks pick up the round bales as opposed to rectangular "cubed" modules

Another great vid! I'm surprised how fast they run. I wouldn't think they could do a clean pick?

I am the proud mother of the driver in the CP770. Hard working men, Long hours, not enough credit given to them. So remember to thank a farmer because without them you wouldn't have clothing and food. Thank you Steven Rosser and Lynn Hilliard for all you do! It doesn't go unnoticed

Thanks for the reply. Glad to know who I am filming! I respect all these guys and gals who work the long hours in the spring planting and longer hours in the fall bringing in the crops. I too farmed in the past and understand the perils of the profession. I got out in 1999, sold the livestock and rented out all our property.

@@terrellfarms1 there is allways the time to choose,how far your gonna take things! I sold the cows and machinery and went on!! Milk was rock bottom and I had enough!

@@genechronister7085 I am currently raising goats but we are considering selling our little farm and moving down to Georgia to be closer to our kiddos down there
