NIce to see all of those new looking 4020's especially the narrow front end one. I'm not a JD enthusiast but I've ben told that there will never again a JD more loved than the 4020

The left-foot clutch and right foot brakes made tight tuns a lot easier with the "New Generation" tractors than with the old Poppin' Johnnies I learned to drive when I was 12. The sixes were also smoother sounding so your ears weren't as tired at night, but I still love the sound of a big twin working

When I was growing up in the 70's and 80's the 4020 was probably the most sold/owned tractor in Iowa.

Love the 6030 with the sound gard cab

Once the tractors got past a certain size the "Sound Guard" was necessary, and when they closed up the cab to control the sound they had to air condition the cab. That and being able to hear a radio while driving a tractor made our 14-hour days a little more tolerable but they were still looooong days.

The 4230 NF! I have heard of NF 30 series but never saw one. Anyone know if any 40 series were ever made with NF?

I just shared a 4230 narrow front plowing recently on the channel. You can see that video @ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ic90e9h6kr64Yqc.html my understanding is the 4230 was the last factory built narrow front but you could retrofit a 4240’at the dealer with a narrow front kit.
