In March 2022, the joint agreement on development of excavators between John Deere and Hitachi ended. Going forward, the future generation of John Deere excavators will be all owned, designed and built from the ground up by John Deere. The all-new line-up of excavators from the company made its debut at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 in Las Vegas. Using its own designs and technology, John Deere can leverage advances from within its own enterprise base to extend advanced features and solutions to the full excavator line-up. Machines on display at the show included the 145 P-Tier, a 210 P-Tier and a 360 P-Tier. The company is focused on the value propositions of the new machines including dependability and durability; performance; elevated operator experience; differentiated by technology; and customization and upgradability. Down the road, John Deere will have a full global line-up of future generation excavators.

Yes i just want my machines to work all day every day. I could not give a crap about new features, autograde and gps. Not needed, just learn how to run them properly. I just want the DEF systems to go away and get back to 2010 era equipment that actually worked.

What's wrong with it? Sounds like you need the dealer to figure it out or send a new one. Seen a few brands suffer the same, notably Kubota when they had the def recalls on the svl-95s.

"All these machines will be connected to our operations center" So in other words, when I'm fixing a broken culvert during an emergency flood situation and something is not quite right with the machine, Deere is going to shut it down and tell me a technician needs to service it ?

No. That's not what the Deere operations centers do. But, I like the way you just invent problems. You must be a joy to work with. The Operations Center is for management functions. It allows you to track maintenance automatically, setup projects for equipment management, etc. It's for equipment owners, Deere doesn't control any of the equipment.

You do realize John Deere is at the forefront of lobbying for the legalization of "only" manufacturer service centers working on equipment? They want to make it illegal for owners to work on their bought and paid for equipment. JD is dumping millions into politicians back pockets to get those laws made and passed. I've watched several live town halls that had JD speakers pitching their desires to the politicians. It is only a matter of time before it happens.

I thought these were designed in China through XCG [ NOT XCMG} Hopefully for Deere they can maintain their share as Deere badged Hitachi excavators, especially ones equipped with the Isuzu were very strong.

John Deere will make crappy excavators without Hitachi parts. Hitachi makes pumps and valves on most JD hoes so if they are out of the picture that would be cause of concern for me. The Japanese are very smart.

@@ChuckBeefOG It's not just being smart its their attention to detail and quality control. I'll always pick Hitachi over Deere any day of the week, month, or year. I've always hated the Deere engines, noisy and hard on fuel and they don't last as long at the Isuzu engines.

I wish them well, but what a potential customer risk to get a first run of a newly designed equipment. Parts and knowledge are more abundant on tried and true models that have had time to soak in the market. I have owned up to 9 Deere brand excavators at a single time in my fleet ,they are fine.

The 135G is a little powerhouse. Great engines, PITIFUL cabs. While Caterpillar is focusing on creature comforts John Deere has neglected to even give an operator room for a lunch box. Winter clothing snags on controls trying to exit the machine. I’m 6’4” and have been operating heavy equipment for 50 years. Do Better John Deere!
