This is a look at the John Deere X534 with all wheel steering. These tractors are a popular option for people that want the sharp turning of a zero turn, but have hills to mow and just have the need for a tractor.

How about a video on the X534 on removing the mower deck? I've struggled every time I remove mine. Putting back on seem to be a little tougher. Thanks for your time and videos makes my life easier!!

I turn all my deck wheels. Put the deck all way down. Unhook everything then Jack up front end and slide out. Jack it up to slide back in. 2 minutes.

And the 9 means 4 wheel steer. Like the x739 which is 4 wheel steer and 4 wheel drive.

I have a steep sloped driveway. My guess is 15-20 degree incline and not sure if the Diff Lock will work and give me enough to be able to move the snowblower up that much of a sloped driveway. Really can't afford to do the AWD they're selling and have found a used one with the blower and lock that I could afford. Would really appreciate any feedback/opinion/experience you may have in regards to a problem such as mine. Thanks.

Andy, first thing I gotta ask is if your driveway slopes up towards the house? Or does it slope up towards the road? If it slopes down from your house to the road then it should do the trick. I'm saying this based on you making your first pass going down hill and then having the path you just cleared to plant one rear wheel in to help gain traction. A differential lock makes a huge improvement on traction, but if that alone doesn't do it then you could always add tire chains.

@@EshlemaniaTV I just inherited this tractor. My dad also has a snowblower attachment. I got stuck immediately after taking it out on a snow storm. I was thinking about chains, but I read on a forum that it's difficult to put chains on the 4 wheel steer unless you use a spacer kit. I have a 2006, if that makes a difference. Do you have any info on installing chains to the x534?

Hydrolic lift then for the snowblower?
@EshlemaniaTV4 жыл бұрын
The models that have hydraulic deck lift use the same hydraulic lift system for the snow blower or plow. If it has manual lift for the mower deck, then it will use the same manual lift system for a snow blower or plow as well.

How reliable is the 4 wheel steer? Are you adding more moving components that are prone to failure?
@EshlemaniaTV3 жыл бұрын
It's actually a pretty reliable set up on these tractors. The parts they use are pretty hefty and you rarely see any issues with any of the additional steering parts used to turn the rear wheels

How fast/powerful is it in reverse ?
@EshlemaniaTV4 жыл бұрын
Doing this procedure will put it back to the original reverse speed or slightly faster.

What year is this? Thanks! I'm looking at a used 2013.
@EshlemaniaTV3 жыл бұрын
This one is older than that. Can't remember the exact year but I would say it's around 2010.

Does this strip the grass on tight turns?
@EshlemaniaTV5 жыл бұрын
Not if you have the deck gauge wheels adjusted properly. And make sure to replace the wheels when they get worn out (Flat on top).

@@EshlemaniaTV no, in talking about the rubber tires. People have said that the rear rubber tires tear up the grass. Not talking about the mower deck and blades.

Never had a problem with those tires on our lawn. I have them on a Wheel Horse as well that I use for tractor pulling and for pulling a cart or other heavy things around the yard with and I never had an issue with it tearing up the lawn either. I know several people with these tires on X700 series tractors and haven't had any of them mention it. But I'm sure it depends a lot on what type of grass and soil you have.

👌 you're probably right. I was running it want due to tire type but the tight turn radius
