Farnsey, from age 16 to 70, we've watched him work audiences with humour and good nature. Always great value live, he may have lost the mullet and gained a few pounds, but has still got that voice. There's a lot of fine material out there but choose the live performances for a measure of what this man and his band can do.

He was about 51 years of age here singing with Lisa Edwards, his long-time backing singer. Live performance, no special effects or auto tune. That was him - and it's been him since he started performing at 19 years of age. We Aussies have decades of songs from John, love him to bits.

You just dont get live performances like this anymore, to day its all about choreography and special effects not the music and singing. Johns concerts are just magic.

For me the best he has ever sounded is singing Help live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra. I knew how good his voice was but when he did Help I was totally blown away and listened to it 3 or 4 times in succession it was hands down the greatest vocal performance I've ever heard.

Farnsey is an Australian national treasure who has been performing since the early 60s you would be doing yourself and your subscribers a favour by playing more from the VOICE as he is known down under . I would suggest you check out his live concert with the Melbourne Symphony orchestra along with a fantastic rock band who are all stars in their own right and the best back up singers he puts on a show which will leave you begging for more . I endorse watchin his clips live, since, at his core, John is a performer, an entertainer, and his chemistry with his audience is such an integral part of his work. If you want to start, watch his cover of the Beatles 'Help', performed live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. And then 'You're the Voice' from the same concert. All ways loved this song, yes he can sing. But Lisa has virtually the same range as he does, when she belts out the later notes with the same intensity and strength that he does and they harmonize beautifully.
