From the moment he appeared on our television sets in the sixties, John Farnham captivated us and took his fans on a fifty year journey with class, faultless vocals and charming stage presence and humanity. Today's performers - with a few exceptions - are too self-obsessed to treat their audiences with such respect. Long live Farnsey!

Great reaction. Yes he sure is one of the greatest vocalists of our time. This was also a beautifully written song as well. The Lyrics are so meaningful 😊 I heard him sing when I was young Imagine if you can Imagine if the world was one A brotherhood of man I have a dream I heard him say A dream in black and white I have a dream (that all men are created equal) A dream of civil right In days to come we'll see the sun As more than just a star In days to come we'll be as one No matter where we are

I feel a real sense of pride listening to Johns music even now in 2024, so many of his songs speak of social justice, racial and religious issues which sadly parallel the same issues we face 30 years on.

Thanks for your great reactions your choice of songs are very good, There’s so many great ones Beyond the Call, listen to the wind,See the Banners fall, Age of reason. The thing is with John you can put all his performances into a huge container, Pull one out after another and you won’t find a lemon. Aussies get a great deal of joy watching people like yourself experience the inner joy, The ease he delivers and if for some reason you’re not feeling right he will pick you up and put you at ease with the world 😊please keep reacting to these wonderful songs 😊

Happy Birthday John. Enjoy your day with your family and remember you have a whole giant Australian family that have always loved you. John is something so special and wonderful but normal. He doesn’t see this in himself. You have no idea how much talent was on that stage because they wanted to be. John doesn’t sing songs without a meaning to him like this one. The more it means to him I have noticed he finds that extra something. Thank you.

LIVE , is the only way to experience a Farnsey performance , his concerts are an experience not just a night out to see a singer perform , every member of his band is an individual musician or singer in their own right , a lot of them are members of chart topping bands . John connects with his audience better than just about anyone I've ever seen , and it's effortless and genuine ,he is naturally funny like a lot of Aussies who don't take themselves so seriously and know how to laugh at ourselves. This song is one of what I call his message songs , others being YOUR THE VOICE , AGE OF REASON ,THAT'S FREEDOM and WHEN THE WAR IS OVER all favourites of mine , but my favourite is a Little River Band song, which he performed while being their replacement lead singer for a short time, its called COOL CHANGE and for me its my go to song when I'm stressed or feeling low , it reminds me of peaceful holidays on tropical Islands or lying on a beach somewhere listening to the crash of the waves ,corny i know but it's how he sings it that makes me feel calm and at peace .
