Flea and John compliment each other so well because John often plays really high whilst Flea is often cranking those mids and playing so hard to create a really sharp but balanced mid range. John and Flea alternate in and out of that space but they're always working in tandem to create a musical salad, instead of other Bassist who just add behind the guitar to beef up the musical soup.

The sign of a great band is a great bassist. The bass really sets tone of song and is the peanut butter to the drums and guitars wonder bread.
