It's definitely the final take. This clip just has zero post processing. The final track is multilayered and cleaned up.

The book scar tissue says that was John's first time shooting H but I highly doubt that's true, even if it is true he had smoked and snorted H. Just watch Layne on AIC unplugged dude was out of it but could sing his ass off. This was intentional and I don't blame him for saying fuck AK and fame

John is absolutely incredible! In the hands of the Chad, Flea and Rick Rubin’s direction created an absolute masterpiece. John was only 21 at the time of BSSM’s debut. An enigma or alien for certain. Nobody plays like JF. This is among the dark side in my humble opinion.

the whole album sounds awesome, raw and fresh. maybe its the way it was recorded and the fact that they left in a alot of "mistakes" and were not too concerned about it being too perfectly executed. one of the albums i never get tired of. other that come to mind are undertow by tool and temple of the dog album. organic stuff.
