Johnny is the man! I don’t care who he is against or what the rules he is my guy. Even though I watch more Braille it was his Rodney Mullen cover videos that got me back in to skateboarding. It was all I did as a kid and slowly gravitated away from it as I got older. I still long boarded occasionally but that was it until I ran across one of his videos on fb. It was completely random due to my lack of skating videos. Rodney was my hero as a kid I even had the Rodney Mullen sig Tensor mags. He was way before my time, but was the best in my eyes. It wasn’t until I saw Giger doing mullens tricks that I was renewed for skating.

Jonny you did that tale whip beautifully. You have the best steeze of almost any skater I’ve seen in recent times. A pleasure to watch your videos man. 28 and just about to pick the board up again after a decade off due to braking my back!

I get far more enjoyment out of watching people have fun while playing Skate compared to complete seriousness and competition focused energy, I do enjoy a good battle of Technical and extremely hard tricks but I love skateboarding in general and my true enjoyment comes from watching other people have fun while skating whether it's a free session or in a game of skate where both people are and it to have fun instead of focused solely on winning.

I landed 360 boneless the other day and 180 front side heelflip

Started to go old school and I was like, foot plants, stuff I can still do. ;) I like to spin on the tail to finish to 360, but tails were larger in the 80s unless you were Mullen and freestyle boards. I have a Ripper now. Still not got into the newer thinner decks. First real board was a Kryptonics foam. I wanted a dogtown, but too expensive comparedly. Foam boards died off. Next board years later was a Billy Ruff. Had it a long time. My brothers got hosoi and kasai boards, they still have them to this day though they stopped skating to do doctor stuff. I always wanted a freestyle board but never found a way to buy one living in rural Idaho, with no skate shops dealing in freestyle skating within 400 miles, in '84.

It's funny because John Hill is suuuper sour that he loses to Giger in this vid, but he freely admits nowadays that Giger is 1,000,000x better. Which, is why I love both of these guys. Giger is BY FAR my favorite, but Hill is a beast in many ways as well.
