One of the greatest reggae artists of all time. That voice is pure magic, as is the music..

John Holt’s best Album by miles. The production on this is incredible. The Orchestra is amazing. The cover with the 5 lions and John Holt’s face is one of the best covers out there. It was never played on the radio when it came out. It wasn’t until the 1,000 Volts of Holt came out that he got recognised. He had one big hit off that Album, Help Me Make It Through The Night. DJ’s only pay 3 songs of his Help Me Make It, Mr. Bojangles and I’ll take A Melody they haven’t got a clue about the The Further You Look Album, they play the same 3 songs over and over again, they are clueless. I bought The Further You Look on Vinyl when it first come out in 1973, John Holt was unknown in the UK only Reggae people knew about him the vast majority didn’t know who he was. He never got the publicity that he deserved.
