My favourite music of late. I spoke with Mr Illsley in July 1983 just after one of the Alchemy concerts. He was courteous, grounded and kindly. I purchased his recent book without hesitation.

Tonight John gave a concert with his band in Zoetermeer/The Hague / Holland, it was just great, live is still so much different. John & Band got standing ovations ( it was standing room only / SRO , hahaha... ) they enjoyed it very much, they kept on playing with encores a d the crowd went ..... we want more...... a d so did I. We all had the " Time of my Life...... "

Wow, cheers mate... from Canada ....can't believe I missed you guys....was in Liverpool Stella Maris around 1978...heard Cliff and The Shadows etc. BUT heard The Sultans of Swing just 3 months ago....and am hooked on it.....heard a 100 plus covers....still trying to get the addictive Rhythm.......very difficult to try the Finger Picking Style after using a Pick for 30 years!
