I was the trumpet player, brought over from the states, it was a tough gig no nonsense, the after party was incredible, Mike was great

I was playing keyboards at this gig in Edinburgh. I’m on the far right, in the back. We rehearsed two weeks at Mike’s house in Little Chalfont, Bucks, then moved the whole rig to sound stage somewhere near Hounslow. It was very meticulous preparation! All of us musicians had to be great readers… score was v complex.

So perfect takes me right back to the first time I heard Tubular Bells made a copy of a copied tape with a flat tape recorder the one with the silver plastic microphone... Oh my days

I had forgotten that this music was the original score for the exorcist because I had fallen into a meditative stance one day until it brought me back to the reality that it was the original score for the exorcist. In other words the music by itself is greater than the exorcist, enough said
