Did you ever de lousiana red? He came to my town in England in early 90s. He was late 70s and went onstage and did a two hour non stop set including the tricks of playing behind his back and then with his teeth. Legend is too small a word.

Saw John Lee Hooker in San Jose about 30 years ago. Tickets were sold out. I must of looked desperate. A man weighing about 400lbs opened a side door offered to let me and my friend in with promises we we wasn’t planning on keeping! The 400lb man ushered us in and placed us at the front of the stage. He gave us a smile and a wink 😉 as to say he’d see us later. I’m not sure what happened to the big man. But John Lee was amazing!

Newport Folk Festival 1965 , I sat on one end of a park bench with John Lee Hooker other end leading a guitar workshop with about 15 - 20 college kids spread out at the Master's feet. He looked pretty old at that time--'65--same year that Dylan came out 'electric ' fr his 2nd set & the fans booed him like crazy, if u can believe it. They settled down a bit afterwards. I had been up to Newport the year before when Joan first introduced Dylan & he played all acoustic = all from his first 2 albums. Things were simpler back then, kids, less 'organized ' ,more informal. At night, in the downstairs bar of the Viking Hotel room some of the artists were mingling with the peeps- no problem. I was standing at the bar , a couple seats near Mary Travis of PPM & she was ' well on her way' & calling someone a Braying Ass !! Great memories from a long time ago 😅. This video with JLH is excellent 😮😂😊 when is it from? .i'd guess '84---'90 !? One of the best I've seen.!!! Keep on Rocking them Blues. ❤❤😊

Y no Voy Más Lejos´´ .. Exquisita música y Gran Concierto.. Un Saludo..
