Thank you God brings back the days of my Father's God you blessed me with more father's down here on earth And I thank you God for the love from my mother's because God you know I was hated by woman's in my family but God Protect me and I had to take care of many of the old folks that had a hard time coming here to California we live never been hungry a day in there life but didn't care but I know the ones up in Heaven living in Peace and Prayers and God let them be my Angels with him to Protect me from a little girl I was taught about God things happen to me to hurt both of us I was leaving here to go to college in the South where my mother's other People's lives and one of her sister and uncle color sends all his children's to college but two they didn't want to go they did other works but she when Home to be with the Lord that change my whole life but God always send some one that was good to me and Love my Children's I had Shawn and Joshua then but God covers me and my Children's and my Father but I rather end this I love God for so many reasons to keep me from doing something I would regret they wanted me to Lose my mind but God is with me know this you grow every day of your life to know God right when you're heart harded couldn't feel so he worked with you I'm thankful💝💝💝🎈

The best performances are ones like this you get the feeling that he’s not just playing a guitar he’s expressing his soul And taking you along for the ride. It’s the holy Grail of musicians. And when it happens it’s very special. GE Smith knew it was happening and was smart enough to stay out of the way.

J'adore cette Musique qu'est le Blues mais je ne vois pourquoi un Keith Richards viens faire dedans il n'a rien à faire dans cette exposition de très bons Autistes de Blues j'aime les anciens joueurs de vrai Bluesman ici c'est un très très bon moment de Blues alors écouter senter respirer cette musique inspirez vous du vrai Blues ici les anciens nous font vibrer par leurs façon de jouer de la 🎸 de chanter cette Musique qu'ils viennent nous faire écouter leurs voix respirent le Blues ils sont tombés dedans depuis leurs Enfances et l'ont dans les veines c'est tellement évident leurs guitares nous transmettes le bonheur du bout des doigts tout ce qui fait leurs vies consacré à cette MUSIQUE LE BLUES j'adore les vrais musiciens chanteuses et chanteurs qui viennent honorer leurs anciens mais pas ceux qui ont rien à faire dans cet hommage je suis un puriste et je le resterai à tout jamais merci beaucoup pour toute la joie et le bonheur que vous nous avez donner et aussi de nous avoir fait connaître cette Musique le Blues merci à ces femmes et ces hommes qui sont dans nos cœurs et ils y resterons pour toujours Merci Merci ❤️❤️💋💋🎸🎸

Just wow! Thanks for the upload! Liked the show overall. Sad for the person who decided to feature Robert Lockwood Jr. in the back line at the end, while giving Keb' Mo (no disrespect) two numbers. Lockwood was a fine singer and an influential guitarist who (in '97) could've sang a verse or turned up that electric 12-string for a solo that would kill!

Hendrix, Clapton, many others acknowledged their debt to Buddy Guy who showed them how to milk a guitar for more than the guitar nor anyone else knew it contained. Guy is all we've got left in 2020 of the mid-past century blues greats. And next in the vid we have Muddy playing Mick for about all that could reasonably have been gotten out of him, the man-child.

I loved Koko Taylor! I saw her a few times. One of my fave performances was with her and Buddy Guy at Red Rocks in Colorado. The best!

At 16:40 after delivering a monster solo, Buddy Guy asks G.E. Smith (himself an excellent guitarist) if he wants to get in on some of the action, and G.E. is like, "No! I don't want any part of havin' to follow that act". Great mutual respect there.

I had the pleasure of seeing Buddy Guy (and a few of these friends) live at Look Park in Northampton, MA around this time, when they were touring locally. It was -- wait for it! my FIRST experience hearing blues never mind by these kinds of legends, and I will never forget... It opened me up to a new world of 🎶 I had never really listened to and I was hooked! Saw him once or twice after that, I believe a concert for his 80th birthday; not sure if he's performing anymore but I really hope he's still alive and kicking! 👏👏😁🔥❤️

maybe, but he has been hired by the best (clapton, dylan, etc.) as band leader and that says even more. I met him in a guitar store on 48th st. 30 years ago. great guy as well as a great talent.
