I always loved running in to New York Environmental Conservation Officers ( ENCON) when I used to hunt regularly. They are real outdoorsman, with a wealth of knowledge. I spoke with one for almost an hour when Mountain Lion we're starting to be reported in New York. It had been over 100 years since they had been seen, and he had heard all the reports. ENCON is a real resource to anyone who loves spending time in the Wild, and they are always generous about sharing their expertise and knowledge!

I live in a quiet town in San Diego CA & me & my friends used to fish at this creek deep in the canyons. One day we went there to fish & we ran into 5-6 gangbangers. They appeared to be using our fishing hole as an encampment. All were tattooed from head to toe, one was bathing naked in the creek, one was sleeping & the others were just milling around. When they saw us, they all stood up & glared at us. And the worst part is, ALL OF THEM BRANDISHED GUNS AT US. One had a hunting rifle & the other had handguns. We were only like 16 at the time so we ran off because we were scared shitless. We later got word that the police took them all away in handcuffs because they harassed another group of kids & they called the cops. Turns out they all were wanted in LA county & they were hiding out from the cops.

What this man is actually referring to is the Mexican cartel “initiation training courses”held deep in the National forests. This is a way to introduce these street gangs into handling automated firearms, killing animals, disposing of carcasses, and obtaining basic survival skills needed when they “get to work” on the trade.

previously was a deputy sheriff in one of the largest Tennessee rural counties. worked with TWRA often. we had few deputies on shift to back us up if needed. usually another deputy was up to an hour away. wild life guys were fewer and further between.
